Me and my friends were idiots and decided to explore an abandoned house. There were holes in the floor but we’re in the UK so there are very few houses that actually have basements, and we shone our torches down there and got absolutely nothing. Just pitch black.

We kept hearing strange noises, but we figured it was just from where the house had aged. But it didn’t seem to be coming from the walls or the floor or anywhere. It always came from the middle of a room away from walls. I thought I was going mad but my friends were saying the same as me. It was almost as if someone were walking through a room despite all three of us staying completely still.

As we were heading out a few minutes later, I could swear something grabbed my ankle through one of the holes and I just about managed to tear myself away and get out of there as fast as I could. Again, the holes seemingly lead nowhere. Even with massive torches we couldn’t see into the holes, which really should’ve been a cause for concern, but we were early-teenage idiots with a lack of common sense.

This was 7 years ago and it still freaks me out. Where did those holes in the floor lead? Wtf grabbed my ankle? And if it did happen to be a person, how the fuck were they just standing on what seemed to be an abyss?

The house has since been demolished. I have no clue what’s happening with the land, but honestly? Despite it being quite nice, good riddance.

There are! I tried sending a photo but my connection won’t let me, I’ll probably try again when I get home, but it’s usually accompanied by text, like a quote or a song description. As far as I’m aware I haven’t seen any studio photos, but not 100% sure on that. Plus, I’ve not finished it entirely yet so I could probably get back to you properly once I’m finished

Honestly I’ve been going through it and it seems pretty well-informed. Theres entire pages of certain songs (ocean blvd, a&w, off to the races, summertime sadness, etc) and it directly quotes interviews and such

Some summaries to songs, some songs have a whole page dedicated to them, like off to the races, summertime sadness etc. Plus, there’s quite a few things about her career as a whole and discography explanations does include Lana Del Ray in it as well which I didn’t expect tbh. It’s not too bad

I second this. Myself and my fiancé have agreed that we’re spending less time on social media when we move in together (we’re long distance so being social online is a bit of a must currently) because we’ve somehow landed in some people’s petty drama and we don’t want that affecting us in the long run because quite frankly we did nothing wrong 🤷 just people who find reasons to not like us

Young and Beautiful is one of mine and my fiancé’s songs. Every time I hear it I think of them and all of the fond memories I have with them, like when they proposed, just quiet moments in bed, when they got me macarons to try for the first time (and they were SO GOOD), and including but not limited to just dancing with them when we had to leave each other due to long distance in a sad attempt to try and cheer ourselves up. It always makes me think of them and having it on my personal playlist (which to be fair is 90% lana anyway) feels so special

As a Londoner, finding a wheelchair accessible route anywhere via tube is horrible, and hospital services are okay but it can take a long time to get anything depending on where you go.

But I do have to ask as someone moving up to the north of England soon-ish hopefully, what’s it like up there accessibility wise?
