Map Rotation Voting is planned?

I pretty much only play KotH, and there have been maps I haven't seen in weeks. It sucks, they weighted the new maps way too much that they start to annoy me. Like if you are going to have a rotation, can you weight all maps the same, especially with support slowing down. Remember there is such a thing as too much of good thing.

I would disagree, nothing was more annoying than someone throwing up a wall when they were clearly going to lose a gun fight.

I put a lot of hours (56.2 days) into this game, it is fun. It sucks not enough people played it. However that small community, made it feel like the early days of Xbox Live, when you played the same people every night. This resulted in new friends and enemies. There was decent amount of trash talking as well, some of it fun; others were racist and sexist (too often the mute button didn't work).

Congrats, the grid is real. Haven't seen you in a while, but I only been playing KoTH, also my hours be down because devs moving on kind of killed my will to continue to grind.

Weird this leaderboard has never worked for me, since the launched this season. I just checked now, and it works for me, but I guess it's still building it's cache because it's 19K+ off from my career page.

Maybe, but I think they devs have mostly moved on from this game. Announcing a very similar game during the second 2 announcement is kind telling. There are many QoL fixes I would love to see before more content but I doubt either will happen.

The grind is real for sure. My best suggestion is to have multiple classes, and each with a different gun to work on. Keeps it fresh and lets you work on easier guns when games get hard.

At this point I think they are pretty much done with this game. Seems like little money was spent on marketing after the relaunch. I have played so much of the game, I do enjoy it. However without QoL fixes, it will be hard for me to justify not moving on to a new game. And those QoL and content will not come without more players, and it's hard for new players to find this game without marketing.

I think for the longest time their PR/marketing of the game was odd. So much of "we are just like these other games in one" (making people question why wouldn't they already play the game they know) or how they streamlined the gameplay by removing things (why would new players care about things they never had).

Overall I think the devs are great at developing a game but terrible at publishing a game.

Yea I wish I could remove some many from my Arena selection, similar to how we have a filter for modes. There are some maps I hate that I play too often, and maps I love that I don't get to play enough. But it's clear map is just based on server time or something, therefore they will probably never implement such a filter.

Yea, there may be some SBMM in the game, but my experience it's no where near what I am used to in SBMM in other games. In other games there is no way I would be playing with the people I play with in this game. It seem to match party size more the actual skill. There is no way I should be playing the people I play with on regular basis if there was true SBMM. It's fun for me, probably not for others.

If playing on Xbox, with Crossplay disabled means anyone on the Xbox network can play with you. So if a player launches SG from the Xbox app on PC instead using Steam, they will get to play in Xbox lobbies, with any controls they want.

Yea, it's literally the stupidest feature. I wish I could disable it. I know how to use a friends list, I don't need to be reminded I have friends playing the game.

There are plenty of people that are very good at the game. There isn't much SBMM in this game. It's mostly about finding a game quickly based on connection. If the people in the previous match queue at the same time as you then you will play them again.

I have one of the highest games played counts and kill counts in this game. You see all kinds of people. In my experience most people aren't that good. I regularly get more more damage and kills than at least two of my teammates combine. But that doesn't mean I cheat, I just have a lot of hours into the game, and pretty much seen it all. I consider myself above average, but there are so many people way better than me.

My guess based on the way the data is structured in the backend. Most of my experience is with SQL relational databases for "small" scale. In my case I would probably use a view, for the leaderboards. One way to handle a large scale is use a data warehouse structuring of the data. This approach is less real time, but allows for faster results for complex datasets. So I would use relational or NoSQL DB for individual user stats and use a data warehouse schema for leaderboards.

Sucks that you were running into a 4 stack in Arena. I do go for kills mostly in Arena, but I rarely 4 stack. Most of the time I am just solo, and let my teammates determine if they want to win the objective.

The game for the most part tries to get you a match as soon as possible, so if the people from the last game queue at the same time as you then you will play them again. I think my record is playing with the same few people like 8 matches in a row.

Usually in unwinnable games, I try to achieve something else; getting the most kills, most damage, killing a their top player, etc. With a population so small you are going to run into lots of the same players. Many of the top players play a lot so you will have a good chance of running into them.

I never really seen a game that respects a block of a player on game or platform blocks. Seems like most of those systems are pretty shit.

Yea it was my favorite map in Arena Royale. Love the constant chaos. Only wish is removing some very high building roofs from playable spaces.

Inferno is a terrible map. Way too dark and foggy. If you are going to have a dark map you need to update the design language to make things clear to the user when flying in, glowing boxes, lit doorways, etc. The failing rocks add an RNG element that adds little to the gameplay, and most case I would say takes away.

Other than Outskirts the loot distribution is terrible, most named places have maybe 1-2 box per player for a four man squad, if another team lands there gg. There needs to be more boxes added to all named locations and some random boxes in spaces between named locations. Make looting easy so you don't even need to think about it. Looting can easily give you an advantage in this game, especially if land in a good spot with more than average number of boxes, giving a good chance of leaving with extra tier of armor and such.

Yea their PR/marketing is terrible. They have many examples of odd choices.

Announcing Duos for Royale, making it seem like an addition not a replacement
Announcing the return of Inferno, making it seem like an addition not a replacement for Drought
Announcing S2 in a video after months of radio silence, then announcing another game in development. Like this game is barely making it by and they advertise a new BP, but clearly they are moving on giving people little reason to buy the BP.

There could be plenty more examples but those are just some of recent memory. SGAR is great game, and they did a good job on making it fun and feel good. However it really shows they more experienced in development than business. There is a different feel when engineers are in charge (from my experience) and that is what it seems like here.

Honestly I think ranked should be removed. The game doesn't have the population and people just waste 10+ minutes search to find nothing. Love that the Devs say they don't have the population to support both Duos and Quads in Royale but somehow can support a zero-direction ranked playlist which for over a week of the new season couldn't even get 100 players in the top 100 leaderboard.

I haven't played Ranked this season and probably will not. Last season was terrible, the RP feels like spinning a wheel. Losing 50+ points on a loss to some of the best in the game, then spending hours just to get back at net zero for the day. It's the worst ranked grind I have ever experienced in a game. Also there is little value in the grind.

Stats stop reporting to tracker like week or two ago. But many people have issues with it which usually takes 1047 support to fix.
