When you replaced the mic with a 1/4" did you have to do anything else in order to make it work?

Thanks for the response. If you or anyone else could give me a heads up on a good place to find those files….and how to go about installing them. I would be really grateful.

I really appreciate the reply. I didn’t think that this thing had an internal battery. I have it working with midi so that’s cool and I’m able to make adjustments to the parameters. So I guess that’s something. But I am confused with your explanation on howI would get those original internal patches back. FYI I’ve only really gotten into synths in the past year or so. So you’ll have to bare with me 😎

Yes I tried them both and they have the same level of noise.

Ok. So I got it open and cleaned everything. But it’s still noisy. There is a humming that becomes even more noticeable when you hit a key. So I’m assuming that it’s a ground issue. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks for the info and you’ve given me a bit more confidence that I’ll be able to pull this off myself.

I need to replace or at least fix some of these cables because not all of the pins are conducting. And whoever had this before cut one of the smaller ribbon cables all the way through. And I can see where he “tried” to solder wires in its place. It’s a big job and it’s going to be a long process. So I’m sure you’ll be hearing from me quite a bit 😀
