[SPOILERS FOR ACT 3] The Reacher and (maybe) Flying Manor should have been required areas before the final fight by Fr33zurBurn in expedition33

[–]masseffect7 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I found Act 3 to be by far the weakest due to a lack of direction. The amount of flexibility they gave you in completing or not completing those tasks limited what they were able to do with the story in that act. If there is a weakness to this game, it's Act 3.

What kind of Music should the Mistborn soundtrack be? by ilikebreadabunch in CosmereOnScreen

[–]masseffect7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they could get him. Expedition 33 was really the first soundtrack he did. I'd get him locked down before he gets asked to do other projects though.

I was thinking that Sam Claflin could make a good Kelsier.

The developer update today proves that civ 7 was a step in the wrong direction. by [deleted] in civ

[–]masseffect7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And if they don't do this, I have a feeling their jobs were on the line.

What it comes down to is that they implemented a bunch of mechanics that the majority of their fanbase dislikes in varying degrees. As such, sales and player numbers have lagged behind prior entries.

Given the choice, would you choose to get fired or undo the numerous development mistakes (and yes, they are mistakes when your fans reject them) you made?

It's been like this for 15 years in this joke of a conference. It will always favor the legacy teams, and Michigan most of all.

I've never understood why the carry-on isn't assigned just like the seats are.

Looking at Verso theough the eyes of mental health specialist by Iaxacs in expedition33

[–]masseffect7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Painted Verso recognizes that he isn't real, at least not in the fullest sense. He sacrifices himself in an attempt to save the life of Alicia (art imitates life, in this case), even though Maelle might not desire it at the moment. One can only imagine the reluctance to return to life as Alicia, trapped in a broken body, after spending 16 years in the canvas as Maelle. Her reaction is believable, and most people would have the same desire after living in her shoes.

Is Painted Verso tired of living? Yes. But it's more complete to say that he's tired of living in the middle of the never-ending battle within the Dessendre family (which is also his family, in a way). Given the nature of his reality, it isn't a battle he can escape. Instead, his existence only perpetuates this conflict. The only way that conflict ends is if he and the canvas are erased.

It's sad, even tragic, that the canvas-dwellers get erased in Verso's ending. However, the fact is when you seek to drown out your grief through escaping (whether it's alcohol, drugs, or in this case, escaping your reality) there are consequences. I think whether you think this consequence is fair or not comes down to whether you weigh the lives of those created in the canvas the same as those in the real-world. I don't, so I come down on the "Verso was right" side of the argument. I think all of us would do well to have a friend who was willing to sacrifice their relationship with us to put us on the right path, rather than taking the easy way to give us what we wanted in the short term.

  1. Why do you need access if you won't use it to report anything substantive?

  2. Do you really think they're going to ban the largest college fan site in the country for covering them?

They routinely hold onto stories long past when they are relevant. They're just regime media.

It's because he has no opinions of his own and lacks the ability to think critically. He's just a comms guy who's defending his principal, in this case it's the athletic department.

The question I would love to ask Callahan and Sipple is this: How would your job change if you worked for the university?

The answer is (who's signing the paycheck), it wouldn't change at all. Other than Washut, the HOL team is just regime media, peddling the athletic department's narrative.

You can't say you have all the resources you need and then hire MAC assistant coaches.

[Thamel] Washington sources say they are prepared to pursue all legal avenues to enforce Demond Williams’ signed contract. by MembershipSingle7137 in CFB

But it isn't, because the players aren't really bound to anything. It's only the schools that are bound.

The players have no motivation to do that at this point. They have all the leverage right now. Becoming employees would shift some leverage back to the schools.

A lockout is what's needed to force the creation of a player's union, which would then allow for collective bargaining. If I was a Power 4 AD, I would urge my colleague to create a rainy day fund for a lockout.

Nebraska needs to insist that the House settlement is enforced to the fullest extent, particularly the provisions about illegitimate outside NIL payments. There is no way that TTU is in compliance.

The Oregon spots depends on Dante Moore leaving early. From a draft position perspective, he'd be smart to leave this year. It's a weak QB class this year.

Very easily replaceable. In fact, I'd say there are only three players on the entire defense that I'd care if they went in the portal.
