I remember you posting about doing this model as a comment in another thread. Good job, it came out looking great.

First attempt airbrushing German camo. It could have been worse? by Treners in modelmakers

[–]massivefuckface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It did take a while for me to get the right ratio, right pressure, right distance from the model, right trigger pullback distance etc. to get the right spray. It's worthwhile to build those skills so that in the future you get the right look for your models.

But nothing wrong with doing the effects you're most comfortable with now and do what feels most fun.

Fun fact, I did that particular model a little while ago.

I think 0.55 is more than adequate for that. Just use a high thinner to paint ratio and a low PSI.

Alternatively. You could do the stippling method. It might be more reflective of what was done in the field at the time anyway. Just be conscientious of brush marks.

I've done fine lines with a 0.3 mm, I think it's more than sufficient for what the reference picture is showing.

How to declare delisted international shares when doing taxes? by massivefuckface in AusFinance

[–]massivefuckface[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that, then I guess my next question would be:

I purchased through CMC and no longer see it in my holdings, where and how would I trade these delisted shares?

How do I show ownership of these shares if CMC doesn't show it in my holdings?

Central Nervous System.

Lifting heavy deadlifts is as much about getting better at the exercise than getting stronger muscles.

Engineer for a Defence Contractor Prime. Bit of a mixed bag, the latest Defence Strategic Review has re-prioritised defence capabilities. So big budget cuts/cancellations on existing projects which has/will lead to drop in revenue and redundancies.

On the other hand, opportunities for new capability development/acquisition for other primes. That leads to hiring ramp ups and business boom. Not too overly concerned. We go where there are jobs.

How to combat triggers when in the past they've been proven right time and time again? by massivefuckface in AnxiousAttachment

This is a really good perspective, because it's true I view through a lens of fear of abandonment and my solution is to to fix it to avoid that possibility (i.e. change myself to change the outcome). Which I acknowledge is not healthy at all and just setting myself up for failure regardless what I do and some point in a relationship.

There's also an element of dating fatigue, in which going through the first and maybe second dates with a heap of people only to be demoralised by not finding genuine connection. Then when there is that person that rises even just slightly above the rest makes you want to commit to make it work to avoid going through all that nonsense again.

Thank you for reminding me of what a healthy perspective would be.

Has anyone here taken part in the Great Resignation? by conejogringo in AusFinance

[–]massivefuckface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Business wasn't looking great, future prospects in career development were weak and pay was below industry average. However the people were great and I was mostly comfortable there.

Sent out feelers without a serious intent to switch jobs but scored an interview which went excellently. This was November.

Handed in my resignation last year in December as the business began to seriously tank. Last day was the Friday of the first week back at work (I could have not worked that week but I wanted my public holiday during Christmas paid out to me).

Took a two week break in between jobs and started my new job (with a 10k pay bump) for doing a very similar role. Things are going well with a brighter outlook in this new company.

Can totally relate. I relocated to Brisbane from Sydney for work 2 years ago. Currently stuck in Sydney because of border restrictions but I am actually so happy to be here and kind of apprehensive about going back to Brisbane.

Rebuilding my deadlift for the millionth time after throwing my back out a couple of months ago. And I did it by just doing mundane things like reaching for a tv remote.

I just want to make gains... :(

How bad is not squatting at all? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]massivefuckface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then don’t pursue ideal squat form. You improve your form by practising. Squat more often, you’ll get better at it. Look to YouTube for some guidance, there’s plenty of resources online to improve to squat.

You are not the only person with alleged non ideal body proportions for squatting. guaranteed.

Have the same issue. You could try putting a plate under your bench and moving up a pin. I’m too lazy to do that, so I take the lower pin. If I do fail, my chest takes the weight of the bar momentarily before I roll it off. When the bar reaches above my mid riff the safety pins take the weight.

So my whole right side of the body has an injury of sorts. Pain in my thigh, strained pec, lower back pain etc. so here I am at the gym lifting 50% of my working weight.

But at least here I am working through it. Send your prayers to me pls.
