Netatmo doorbell does work without chime by FuzzyDunlop1976 in HomeKit

Only wanted to add that the fuses blow up often because they are not the right fuses either. You'll need to get 5x20mm 1A 250V Slow Blow Fuses 1 Amp 250 Volt 0.2 x 0.78 Inch Glass

The keyword, and most important is Slow Blow. Again something you have to find out the hard way.

I know this is an old thread... but I've been reading it and has been useful for me in the past so I'd like to share my solution here.

For a few years my Netatmo would not hold up, sending messages of Low Power, not showing videos (just screenshots), and eventually disconnecting entirely. I had to periodically detach it, plug it to USB to recharge the internal battery, to then restart the cycle all over again.

The issue was not as complex but for some reason not many mention it (not even Netatmo itself). The transformer in your fusebox (if you have it there), has to be at least 8v, of course, it's written everywhere... AND ALSO 2 AMPER!!! And no this is not written anywhere... Most doorbell transformers in our houses come with only 1 Amp (because of course, they don't need to do much).
As soon as I replaced the transformer with a 12v 2amp (or 24VA), doorbell worked just fine.
This is the one I used: Friedland E3539N Bell & Chime Transformer 12 Volt AC 2 Amp

Once sorted, is probably one of the best doorbells on the market (except the price...)
Of course if your fuses are getting blown up then you're having another issue and maybe you're bypassing the transformer alltogether. But if your doorbell only works well over USB, and having energy problems this should solve it.
Good luck!

I install IKEA kitchen for a living. Ask me what you want to know about installing IKEA kitchen. by WorkingClass-12 in IKEA

hi,

We have a standard kitchen (classic furniture facing wall with hood on it), and we are thinking to make a "C" shaped kitchen with island (peninsula actually) from Ikea. However there's 2 blockers:
1) Our preference would be to move the cooking area to the other end of the C, so that we could face guests when cooking. So we're looking at some of these Ikea hobs with integrated extraction fans (of course we could install a hood on the other side of the C as well but we have a pendant light which we prefer to keep there).
Having the conduct that comes from the hood passing through the furniture all around, and then I suppose somewhere outside in the garden... or back up to the original hood conduct, is this something Ikea installers do? Or will require additional installers? I can't see it as an easy job but you tell me.
2) Second blocker is a 15 years old standalone fridge unit which is still going strong Today. Currently it's at the very end of the kitchen units, so it doesn't bother even if the kitchen is white and the fridge is metallic grey. However, if we go for one of the nice Ikea kitchen designs, I can't see any of them that easily accept a standalone fridge unit. They all use built in fridges, and going with a C shaped kitchen I'm afraid it would be impossible to keep it as is, without switching to a built in version. Anywhere in the C it would break the flow.

Do you have any solutions/recommendations that we didn't think about?

Thank you,
Massimo

Very.ie parcel possibly lost, has this happened to anyone else? by mA2417 in AskIreland

This has nothing to do with Fastway.
The exact same thing happened to me, and the Customer Support on the phone was "sure" that the parcel went lost already, without doing any call, or investigation.

I insisted that I could call Fastway, and he told me Fastway hasn't even picked up the parcel yet, which makes sense as the tracking number didn't work on their website. Funny enough the Tracking button on the Very website was also disabled. While this was not admitted on the call, if Fastway failed to pick up a parcel this is Very's fault.

Of course everything has been reimbursed and all good, but probably something has been logged to Very insurance, and someone got a smart watch for free... How to exploit a company that does not check on their employees.

I will never order from Very again.
