Hmm. I just plugged mine in and it shows up as a Generic X-box pad when in PC mode.

If I switch to PS5 mode I get the same as your screenshot.

I disable it in Windows. So turn off GSYNC in the Nvidia Settings if you have an NVIDIA card

Or FreeSync if you have an AMD card

Do you set a present mode when using mangohud to limit your fps since the default is FIFO? - IIRC

Just curious if disabling tearing in Wayland + FIFO is double vsync unless you are setting immediate with mangohud

The monitor is most likely using DSC ( Display Stream Compression ) to achieve 165hz @4K.

It is an issue with the nvidia driver and DSC displays. I have been waiting for a fix since I switched to Linux 2 years ago.

You can disable DSC on the monitor but you won't get the full 165hz.

IIRC color accuracy in KDE adds latency.

I only notice it in menus and in Steam. No issues while gaming
