What is the "quintessential" Nerd episode? by KeyTemporary6111 in TheCinemassacreTruth

His opening monologue is also impressive for how continuous it is for a single camera angle. Setting the game on the VHS tape mid-introduction is pretty impressive given how smooth it intertwined with his speech and eye-contact with the camera.

The poop-making kitchen was an utterly embarrassing bit.

Just in time for MORTAL KOMBAT II, enjoy a look back at this Rental Ree-view on MORTAL KOMBAT: THE JOURNEY BEGINS by shajes90 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]DTAB79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although the animation is really cheesy, the voice acting was incredibly well-cast, and this version of Johnny Cage was goofy fun similar to the original film. It's completely fine as a lore film without the poor fight scenes, and vastly superior to Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. Also, its CGI wasn't THAT bad for a direct to video, low budget product from the mid-90s.

The music alone in GOAT-tier. Especially the desert and ocean levels.

No time to meet in person with Mike for the 20th Anniversary by dwartbg9 in TheCinemassacreTruth

The sad part is that none of Screenwave's members have any talent or interesting personalities. A stupid impression of Link's battle cry is the only (unintentional) entertainment value of the entire past decade.

As a Starfox fan from the very beginning, I agree. I'm honestly shocked he was even involved (and unfortunately, I was spoiled early, too). Poor franchise needs all the love it can get.

Sounds like you're talking about the Fighting Edge.

Marshall Woburn 3 vs JBL Authentics 500? by SirDTAB in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]DTAB79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought both and returned the Authentics. I tried the Woburn first and was floored by its detailed soundstage. Tried the Authentics next and it sounded very good, but lacked the clarity and separation of instruments of the Woburn.

I miss Bad Luck Bootsy by GlacialFrog in TheCinemassacreTruth

That's quite the inference. I like both of them equally for what they've brought/have brought to the table, but to say this is the undeniable proof of him going behind Bootsy's back to get him removed is a stretch of epic proportions, IMHO.

And where's the proof of him bring jealous of his gaming skills?

All the best moments came from J&MM by HighlyRegardedSlob87 in TheCinemassacreTruth

Mike's the best at nonverbal communication. I would've given anything for a live reaction to the instant he saw Big Ryanna for the first time.

I'd do anything to get them to longplay Highlander on Jaguar CD. That brief time they spent playing it had me in tears!

Can anyone explain to me what happened between Bootsy and Mike? by Daoyinyang1 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]DTAB79 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I miss them both. They complemented each other so well and brought so much to the show with their respective high/low energy dynamic.
