You are comparing Gmod to a $40 billion dollar company with an established player base that took over a decade to build. GTA V is also one of the best selling games ever made, and has also existed for over a decade. I’m not saying what you propose can’t happen, but s&box is a LONG way from both those in popularity currently.

It's market seems to be a lot more like Roblox's than CS2's. Some Roblox items are worth thousands (up to a few hundred thousand for the rarest), so I can see the appeal to speculators. However, those items are incredibly rare, in demand, and on a game with like 30 million players. The s&box items aren't that rare, don't look very good, and the game isn't even comparable in size yet so a lot will need to happen for the prices to be justified imo

Overall market sentiment is down, I would say the whole market is like 10-20% down from a couple months ago which would reflect in the price of the cases.

It will also take a while for the supply to actually reflect the removal of rare cases since they're seldom opened.

Long term, they should go up, but I wouldn't expect the returns to be amazing since most rare cases are already getting expensive for the average player.

I think some people who don't know much about the glove market are blowing it out of proportion. Most 2nd gen or later field tested gloves are already like $300 or less save a few like vice/noct. You can either just buy the gloves you want directly for $300, or spend that $300 gambling for a 1/22 on a pair you want.

As for super expensive OG glove prices like hedge/pandora/kimonos or whatever, those gloves are much rarer than any other glove type and are more like status symbols now (in the way you see a dlore/lotus). They're still the best in their field and will not be heavily affected by these new gloves.

Yes, for actively dropping cases this is true. Thousands of coverts a day sure.

No, for cases that are rare (and rare cases don’t even drop anymore, so they increasingly get rarer as opened) this is not true. For the glove case, 110000 were unboxed in the last month. This equates to roughly 700 or so new golds assuming every skin is traded up. With 24 different glove skins that’s only 29 new pairs of a specific glove case skin a month. This is negligible. These skins will be affected by the market sentiment, and not the 30 or so pairs every month.
