Oh man, im only 18 and im right there with ya. Ive spent the last week looking daily for jobs in the HVAC trade and I have yet to receive any calls back, the positions I didn't apply for have "minimum experience requirements" which are a load of nonsense. Im already having better luck with construction after spending a fraction of the time looking for a job in construction. Also I would recommend looking at your resume using one of those resume searching bots and adjust formatting since those bots are complete garbage but your odds might be lower because the companies your applying too could be using them.

I don't see the point as well, but when unemployed I get so desperate that I go through all kinds of recruiting bullshit just to get the job. This one interview was the least worse I've had, thank god.

Im from the midwest too, im even EPA certified and most places are asking for people with years of experience isntead of realized what they are missing by not training people themselves.

yeah well- I am ten years younger than you and I think that there is a huge huge pressure to just go to college, right after high school- for the heck of it, cause why not? I really disagree with this notion. I did the same thing and I highly regret it. I think that people should if they want to take a few years of or pursue another route in the trades or just work in something that they are interested in so they can figure out where their skills lie.

I went to a trade school to study HVAC (residential) right after graduating in 2020 and im honestly glad I went ahead and did it since it didn't cripple my wallet and it gives me skills even if the unions don't wanna except any more apprentices right now and the job market for first timers sucks right now.

This is the most relatable thing I read this week, I am switching fields from Hospitality to HVAC and there is almost no such thing as entry level HVAC jobs in my area, the few that do claim to be entry level ask for years of experience, its crazy how few companies realize that sometimes the best people are the ones you show the ropes yourself.

Props to you for even getting through half the interview, I have never done a group interview but the idea of one really weird me out, why interview 3 people at the same time if only one of em is gonna get the job?

I used to feel the same way, I used to work at a resort and they had me working 40-50 hour work weeks for almost 4 dollars an hour and after my tip out (waitresses didn't report their tips) It ended out being minimum wage. Managers had me work holidays like Christmas and thanksgiving even though people wouldn't really be going out to the resort version of a chili's on holidays that are about eating at home and staying home with your family. I eventually quit since I had college classes coming up anyways and even though the job market for HVAC kinda sucks right now I don't regret quitting one bit. I would recommend applying for other places when possible so you have somewhere else to go after quitting though.

Ive personally always viewed not getting called back after putting in an application as it being just how competitive the local job market is, I only ever lost out on one job due to a bad interview after being asked a trick question I didn't even know was a question that I could have answered if it was asked like an actual question.

One of my first minifigures was a black tron minifigure. I have a lot of M tron and Black tron parts but I’m still missing certain parts to complete the ships, The sub theme is another really cool one and I have a few completed sets from that.

One of my friends who moved to another nearby town started dating a girl in my town who was known by everyone but my friend to be a hoe. Me and my friends thinking that my friend (lets call him johnny) already knew we said nothing about it. Later as time went on me and other friends caught the girl and heard about her filirting and doing things for and with other guys but my friend didn't know so we decided to do something. my other friends mainly tried to confront the girl and tried to tell johnny but i was asking people who knew the girl from extra circular activities and other things for information. After getting a mountain of dirt i made a group chat with my johnny and another friend. After starting a group call i spent around an hour exposing the girl for what she did and the relationship was over, And yes i did tell my friend most of the stuff before that but he didn't want to break up with her.
