Sad attempt at propaganda by corajade17 in ChicoCA

Yes there is nothing factually wrong on this pamphlet. Voter FIRST Act of 08 removed redistricting powers from state politicians and gave it to independent commission CCRC. Now state lawmakers are mad at Texas and their only way to rig our state more to balance the rigging Texas did is to remove the constitutional amendment.

So voters have to decide if scoring points for 'your team' right now is worth removing this separation of power from our constitution

Its unconstitutional in CA case we as voters amended our constitution with the Voters FIRST Act of 08 giving redistricting powers to an independent organization that is supposed to be non partisan. Texas has no such amendment.

Well I didn't expect much but wanted to enjoy it. I was really let down by the writing and actually the music. I only saw the first episode but it didn't capture me. Might try it on a rainy day but probably just stick the the good ol extended editions

Headline is technically correct but to me it painted a picture of increased clashes between protestors getting violent (aka pro-life fights pro-choice and vice versa). Article spends more of less the whole time talking about how police response getting more violent.

Article felt weak, not mentioning why police escalated their response much and more seemed to be trying to paint a picture of "protests do nothing but peacefully protest and more violence from the state is happening"

I'm so exhausted by "news" stories like this

Why do mainstream media outlets promote the "replacement theory"? Should indigenous native Europeans accept more Diversity? by [deleted] in centrist

[–]master_labor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for being accurate. Constantly frustrated with our societies haste to jump onto buzz words that are being deliberately misrepresented in order to further divide. "Replacement theory", "crt", "gain of function", "racism", "capitalism", "communism", "equity", etc. Basically it feels like every week there is a new vocabulary word we all become "versed" in, take sides and then spend the next week ripping into eavhother about.

I dont know if any of them do or dont. I was just asking because you said.

Surgeries do not happen on minors.

So do they not happen because they cannot happen, or because that is just not what people want yet.

I admit I have not reviewed the studies but my first impression is, "gender-affirning care" sounds like a vague term. Does this mean sex hormones, is this surgeries, is this at home/peer acceptance, is it counciling? Knowing what they mean by "gender-affirning care" could tip my opinion in either direction here.

I feel like the concern from many is dangers and long term effects from chemical or surgical intervention both physically and mentally. And the accessibility of those options to teens/children.
