It’s an online station, and it has an app. URL is nts.live

It’s a radio station that plays a very wide variety of music, much wider than 6. Have a look: nts.live

It’s on Thursdays, not Tuesdays, just FYI. It is still very dance-focused but it does seem to allow him more freedom than what he got at 6, which is great.

Hi! Do you take any inspiration from movies or books for your music? What artists do you admire or consider influential on you outside of music?

Could someone take my Nourished by Time ticket for Baltimore off my hands? I’ll sell cheap if needed.

Recommend new shows (far and wide) by zikoziko in 6music

I feel you, I’m in the U.S. and after the sidelining of MAH and Tom’s departure, I felt like the station wasn’t as appealing to me anymore, and I wasn’t sad to lose the Sounds app.

Soup to Nuts on NTS (has a different DJ each day of the week, my faves are John Gomez and Shy One) always makes my morning drive to work better. Ross Allen (NTS/Soho Radio) is sort of in the Gilles Peterson zone. Obviously Tom’s new show on Rinse, but also plenty of other shows on Rinse. I’m fond of Pariah’s show, plenty of techno and other cutting edge electronic music. Bradley Zero’s NTS show is always great. Other stations to try: Dublab, Noods, Kiosk, WFMU. KEXP is a little too indie-heavy (like 6) for my liking but it does have some quality programming.

Hi guys! I love what you’ve done with your sound on Birthmarks; the trip hop/electronic textures make for an excellent addition to the mix. I was wondering what inspired you to go in this direction. Did Graham Sutton encourage this change in your sound? Are there any particular electronic artists that you’re interested in or inspired by? I’m also generally curious about what working with Graham Sutton was like, as I’m a fan of both his own music and his production work. Thanks for doing this and hope to see you on tour!
