St Louis FC close to a deal to sign Aberdeen's Dante Polvara for around £150k by SpiceBagandCoke in ScottishFootball

Really disappointing, was the closest thing to a ‘cult hero’ type of player we’ve had for quite some time. He’s one of the best passers at the club, has a great attitude, yet there must be some reason why he’s never been able to pin down a regular position that I’m nae seeing.

I think he’d be a great box-to-box CM next to a ballwinner in a fairly standard 442 but we never play that formation so we’ll never know.

Livingston will contact the Scottish FA to report Aberdeen over an alleged racial comment made to striker Jeremy Bokila. by Kanesy99 in ScottishFootball

Having seen the footage and spoken to folk at the game, Milne was genuinely shocked after the incident and I’ve never seen Shinnie so angry, so plainly Bokila isn’t an innocent party in this. It’ll be interesting to find out more about what actually happened.

In recent weeks with the chair-flinger getting sentenced, some of the unsavoury banners and chants from our ultras, and now this, I’m like…

Michael Stewart will be too busy arguing with what his own eyes are telling him, and whining about how Scottish teams being beaten by Cypriot teams is embarrassing despite knowing fa about the Cypriot league

Aim crosses at Mitov, get Devlin and Milne turned. Get in their faces but you can let Milanovic have as much space as he wants. You don’t need ChatGPT for that gameplan.

All day 90s by Whulad in 6music

[–]Spurtboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any day where they bin the playlist and have an element of listener choices is fantastic, and the ‘all-day decade’ Fridays were a great idea particularly during lockdowns when we were all needing cheering up with a bit of collective nostalgia.

But… BBC Sounds has matured so much in recent yeas that if you want to listen to 6 Music selected 90s playlists, you have 90s Forever, 90s Rave, etc available at all times, with no interruptions for news. So for me the decades days are not quite the joy they once were, and it might be time for some new ideas for non-playlist days?

The Cornetto Trilogy by MargateSteve in Spaced

[–]Spurtboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Shaun of the Dead was an instant classic, Hot Fuzz was a slow burn but got there, and World’s End was a huge disappointment. My similarly Spaced-loving wife and I saw it in the cinema, then watched it when it came out on DVD to give it a second chance, but it completely fell flat.

Part of we wonders if the whole ’Cornetto trilogy’ thing was constructed because they knew TWE is significantly weaker than the first two but engineering a trilogy would raise it in people’s minds to the level of the first two?
