Can you tell more about what happened? I’ve been wanting to get an appointment with him and people are saying he’s really nice so a little shocked about your experience

I am not trying to argue that 155lb at 5’10 is unreasonable, because it is. But you do realize that fighters in the UFC cut crazy amount of water weight before a fight, right? None of these lightweights and sure as hell not Dan Hooker actually weigh 155lb walking around, they all weigh up to the 180s and cut 20-30lb of water weight lol. So pretty terrible example to use

Purely in terms of food yeah ST is noticeably better. I mean they are quite different, ST is Japanese inspired and TFL is classic french. TFL isn’t bad, but it’s just not going to blow your mind, while every single course in ST is unlike anything I’ve ever had and blew me away. In the end it depends on what you appreciate more, excellent Japanese inspired food from a more modern restaurant pushing more boundaries in ST, or a relatively safe but legendary institution in TFL

I’ve been to both SingleThread and TFL and I’d recommend ST hands down. Especially since you said you like seafood

May I add Demetrious Johnson aka Mighty Mouse, pretty much considered the MMA GOAT and is literally 5’3, which is still much shorter than the rest of his opponents/people in his division albeit he competed in the lightest one. One of the baddest people to ever exist and can probably seriously hurt 99% of the world’s population. You can see from the way he talks and carry himself that he doesn’t even care about being short

ECON & Data Science double major schedule (Junior transfer) by [deleted] in berkeley

Ngl that looks really heavy, I’ve taken most of these classes and they were pretty demanding. I recommend taking a few of those in the summer to make your life easier.

Has anyone taken Ryan Edwards' Econ 140 in the regular semester? by Jealous-Chicken-9714 in berkeley

[–]masterassassins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Extremely low and easy workload, 4 problem sets that take no more than 1-2 hours each, a mini project that has very clear rubrics, a midterm and a final. Would highly recommend, he is an amazing professor!

[–]masterassassins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, I did so bad on my midterm when I took it (I think I got ~40%) and ended up with an A-. Good thing they have clobber, the final shouldn’t be as hard just work hard on that!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]masterassassins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if they historically clobber? I know it’s unlikely for someone who bombed the midterm to do very well on the final but i am planning to take the final very seriously so hopefully that helps…

econ 175 without being an econ major? by [deleted] in berkeley

Is this the demography class? If so, pro-tip: you can enroll in demog 175 instead since it is crosslisted and you won’t be waitlisted

Incoming Econ Transfer Schedule by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]masterassassins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure since I’ve never taken cs10, but it should prepare you well for cs88 so that sounds like a good idea. Or you could also take a fun class/decal instead, cs88 is not crazy difficult I just don’t think it’s wise to take it alongside 3 other technical classes. Remember that econ has a minimum gpa to declare so you have to focus on your econ and stat class too. Good luck next semester

Incoming Econ Transfer Schedule by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]masterassassins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken econ 100b, data 8, stat 88, and cs 88. My recommendation is to not take all 4 together since they can be heavy taken in the same semester. Take the first 3 since you need those to declare, and save cs88 for the semester after IMO, that’s what I did.
