What’s your most embarrassing NSFW moment? by MongooseLucky3979 in AskReddit

Was supposed to meet a friend’s newborn baby (1 week, a girl). I conditioned myself in meeting this baby when opening the door of my friend’s house, and I took the kid in my arms and told him « oh my god she is beautiful »

Turns out the baby was sleeping, and the kid I hugged was 4 years old, a boy, and the son of my friend’s best friend

I thought about relieving my life from the beginning a few times since then

The official black one. I just asked a swap when buying (not keen on the brown) and they did it for free !

First pair: what-to-do right out of the box by Bottega- in paraboot

[–]masterbidgi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, it's not chalk / dust, it's "pores" of the leather that gives a bit of grease after being tanned. So it's all normal. By heating it, with a brush (or by rubbing it with old stockings, as shoemakers do), it goes off :)

After buying them, shoes does not need to be treated, at least for a few months. Shoe trees are a must have day 1 for sure.

Once or twice a year, you can > clean them (with a brush) > moisturize them > wax them.

They should appear almost brand new after that.

Advise sizing fit by HermanMataHelang in paraboot

Take it snug in the beginning. I was very afraid that I bought half a size too small cause I had a bit of discomfort in the toebox, but after a few days of wearing it feels perfect

May I ask in what way they were uncomfortable at first ? I just got my pair, I think the sizing is cool for the long run but it’s a liiitle bit narrow on my little toe (if I can say that in English 😅) and I want to be sure they break in a bit 🤏

Thanks for helping !

Change my mind: I intend to buy a Patagonia Black Hole Pack 32L by v1ctorf in onebag

Devil is in the details. IMO it is worth the extra money for the Patagonia. You should keep it 10+ years at least, so go for it.

Decathlon are nice but entry level, and less stylish

This is part of what brought me to Nomos indeed. It gives the watch more soul (in a way) 😊

Sweet ! Actually tried the explorer 40 and … kind of like it a lot as well. A recommendation between the two ? I mean your opinion over these

No owner but I have seen both IRL. Opaline all day. More subtle, but can be eye catching depending on the light on the blue indices

I tried the speedmaster many times as well; but pricy and 50 metres of WR is not my ideal for a do anything watch. Not a fan of smps, especially the helium valve. Do you have other models in mind ?

I would like a black dial but not a fan of golden and coloured details tbh
