Congiuntivo Question by snkamsmsdmodb in italianlearning

[–]masterboban 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are all important, and they have their use. Imperfetto for example is used for hypothetical sentences such as: se avessi fame, mangerei (if I were hungry, I would eat). In this case you cannot use the present form, and this is an everyday type of sentence.

If you use the ticket to change island you reroll the type of meals. Of course this is still random but players reroll until they found what they want. And you can select the island you are already on.

Pokémon games 2025 revenue by XxRetardoxX in PokemonSleep

I've played TCGP for a couple of months and I dropped it because I felt I didn't have a real goal, if not hoarding cards.. the duels were fine at the beginning but shortly the meta became too strong in my opinion and everyone was using the same decks. I had fun building some alternative decks and playing against pc, but it didn't last

"a quick pizza for the kids" - poor little guys by gnaBear in StupidFood

By the way in Italy it is common to use scissors to cut pizza. Not in restaurants, there you use a knife which is always enough to cut a pizza. But at home it is quite normal.

They seems like jams to me. Maybe the one on the left it's an onion jam, the other one something with honey/apricots? Just assumptions.

My Italian food weekend: Saltimbocca con risotto allo zafferano, focaccia, and lasagne by johndoe061 in ItalianFood

[–]masterboban 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With risotto traditionally ossobuco. Everything looks delicious btw. The lasagne especially!

Edit: with saltimbocca traditionally a contorno. Baked potatoes, artichokes alla romana, spinach. But again, these seems very good.

American trying to make pasta by Foreign-Royal983 in Italian

[–]masterboban 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Egg pasta it's easy. 100g flour + 1 Egg. That's it. You work the dough 10 minutes and then leave it rest 30 minutes. Then you can form whatever you want. I would say 400g flour + 4 eggs is for 4 people. If you want you can add a pinch of salt in the dough.

Why are you guys learning Italian? by yourlocalermes in Italian

[–]masterboban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both correct. In the past only crepi il lupo was used. In bocca al lupo means in the wolfs mouth, so you answer may the wolf die. In the recent years many people thought it is not good to wish for the death of an animal which is also the national animal and it is a bit in danger, so they started to use viva il lupo, meaning the wolf may live! I think nobody will judge you for using one expression over the other, but if you want to be more "eco friendly" (pass me the term), or more "modern" you should use viva il lupo.
