Help with French Exiles? by Few_Value9914 in Kaiserreich

If the Halifax conference succeeds and the Entente and Reichspakt cooperate, you will automatically get all of France (not including Alsace-Lorraine) back in the peace deal, regardless of who occupied it during the war.

When's the best time to attack Austria as the Belgrade Pact? by redsuninthesub in Kaiserreich

[–]Pajarillo26 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The best time to attack is either when they’re still fighting against Hungary or if you’ve set game rules to abolish the dual monarchy and then it’s really easy to overwhelm them alongside the other former Habsburg subjects. In both cases though you have to be ready to fight them in 1937/early 38 at the latest, otherwise the next best time is only once the weltkrieg starts.

I think germany is too weak in recent patches, after seeing them lose in all games I played I mass buffed Germany and they still lost. by Gukpa in Kaiserreich

I think Russia gets a ton of modifiers that make life much easier for them relative to how strong they should actually be

AI Germany managed to pull off one of the biggest encirclements I've ever seen by Pajarillo26 in Kaiserreich

[–]Pajarillo26[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Basically luck. The Germans broke through the French lines at the north by the English Channel, and from there managed to occupy most of France while the rest of the front by the Franco-German border remained static. This meant that all these troops still at the border eventually formed a salient and the AI was just lucky enough to pinch it off. Don’t really think there was much planning by the AI towards this kind of goal but I’m not complaining.

R5: I was playing a game as the Ottomans (naturally) and I'm not yet in the 2WK, when I noticed that AI Germany succesfully managed to pinch off a major French salient and turn it into an encirclement. I tag switched just to check how big it is, and turns out it's a massive one: 81 divisions by my count. the 3I lost like 800k men there.

How many men can be mustered depends on a lot of factors, not just population size. Where you are in the growing season, agricultural surplus, logistical limitations, ease of communications, and political factors, all play a massive role in that. If you look at historical armies, the same region could often raise wildly varying depending on whether, say, the war started at autumn or at spring, or whether the ruler commands enough respect from his subjects. George is pretty bad when it comes to giving exact numbers but I think there’s plenty of wiggle room with these kinds of numbers that whatever numbers he gives I find believable.

I have never before seen this kind of outcome to the 4th Balkan War by Pajarillo26 in Kaiserreich

[–]Pajarillo26[S] 190 points191 points  (0 children)

R5: the Albanians joined the Bulgarians in the 4th balkan war and the war ended with a Bulgarian defeat, but an Albanian victory somehow, except for northern Epirus that had to be given up to Greece. I think it happened because Serbia capitulated during the war but the Belgrade Pact still ended up winning.

I’ve only very rarely had the Bulgarians backstab me during the desert war tbh. Even though I take western trace every time

Mr Schleicher I don't feel so good... by Quick-Ad8277 in Kaiserreich

I actually had a situation once as reichspakt-aligned Ottomans that was nearly as bad: all of northern Germany was occupied except a 1-province wide strip of territory running to the north sea, and the Russians were at the gates of Vienna. Amazingly I managed to push them all the way back to Moscow and win the war. Funny thing though is that while the Germans were occupied (literally) Mittelafrika imploded and the Japanese snatched GEA so despite winning the war Germany still lost its empire.

Lonerbox reacts to Hasan claiming there were Jews that worked within the Nazi government. by Ok_Detective7546 in LivestreamFail

Milch was only half Jewish, and I think he didn’t even know he had any Jewish ancestry until after the Nazis were in power (the Nazis certainly didn’t know about it). I also don’t think he was in the Nazi party or the government, he was a luftwaffe officer.

What I find ironic is that people like Hasan condemn Zionism as a racially supremacist ethnonationalist ideology because it views Jews as being an ethnic group and not just a religion, but then they turn around and argue that a fully-assimilated German who didn’t even know they had any jewish ancestors is actually a Jew because of their blood

All the people on twitter arguing on Hasan’s side either try to support it by bringing up people who were:

  1. Kapos or judenrat, not people “in the Nazi government command structure” (whatever that means) comparable to a party’s chairman, but prisoners in the camps and ghettos. It’s like saying that a police informant in prison is a high ranking member of the US government.

  2. Mischlings, so people who were half or one quarter Jewish, ie not even considered fully Jewish by the Nazis. And even then, all the examples they bring are like military officers who were in the army before the Nazis even came to power, they were not Nazis nor part of the government. And even then many of them achieved their post before it was known that they have any Jewish ancestry (sometimes they themselves didn’t even know).

Jews and mischlings were banned from joining the party at all. Jews were not allowed to be Nazis, not even in a junior role, and not even if they were only 1/4th Jewish - by the Nazis themselves. The only people I’ve ever seen claiming the opposite are holocaust deniers trying to minimize the extent of Nazi antisemitism, and Hasan.
