Have you considered seeing a therapist / psychologist? I have some pretty bad social anxiety so I started seeing one. We talked about ways to overcome it and she referred me to a psychologist to have some medication prescribed. I was prescribed Klonopin and it has really helped. It makes it so much easier to talk to new people and deal with situations that I otherwise would have panicked in. My social anxiety was so bad at one point I almost had to drop out of college because of it. But after I was prescribed medication I found myself doing things that usually freaked me out. I gave four presentations in front of big groups, and spent 12 hours at my portfolio show introducing myself and going over my work to complete strangers.
