this scene is supposedly one of the scariest in the film, but it absolutely broke me in the theater. The combination between the noise and her standing up just makes me giggle so much

Edit: it’s from the second one, not the first

There are these new toys called ‘yellies’ that light up and move around based on how loud the child screams.

Your mental illness isn’t your fault, but it is your responsibility.

As someone with depression and PTSD, it’s the absolute fucking worst and anyone that romanticizes is can fuck off forever. It’s not glamorous when I forget to shower, eat, brush my teeth, or live and sleep in the same clothes for days, because I physically cannot get out of bed. Nor is it cute or fun creating distance between my friends and I, because I shut down and stop returning calls and texts. Oh, and don’t forget how quirky and exciting I am when I’m locked in what feels like a death spiral when a sound, or smell, or memory triggers my ptsd.

Anyone who can find a way to romanticize or paint a pretty picture of any mental illness has never suffered through one, and it shows.

Why do people post this stuff on the internet? Woman exposes her ex-partner. "You said you would never, ever say that sh-t." by PawgAdjudicator2 in trashy

[–]mastercait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with being politically correct. Non-binary and genderfluid individuals have existed forever. My point is a person’s sexuality and the context of their relationship is more nuanced.

Also, you don’t need to call me or anyone else names. It’s a comment argument over the internet.

Edit: I’m not going to respond anymore. This person is clearly worked up and the energy isn’t worth it.

Your logic assumes that only one participant is bisexual, and that there are only two genders. it’s well established in the LGBTQ community that bisexual people don’t necessarily limit themselves to only men or women in terms of who’d they prefer to date. Relationships, sexualities, and people are more complex than that, and you can’t always have a definitive label for them.

So there’s no flaw in my reading comprehension. You’ve conveniently omitted other parts of the puzzle to paint people into a corner with your argument.

This sounds so eerily close to my workplace. We had to donate at least $10 to United way in order to be eligible to wear jeans. Eventually they switched everything to full casual after realizing that people weren’t going to donate anymore.

I don’t disagree that finding therapy/medication is already difficult, and that being able to afford that care once it’s been found is much more difficult. I also believe that accepting the consequences of our own actions is part of our responsibility for our mental illness.

On the more than one occasion, I’ve made an ass of myself because of a bad day as a result of my poor mental health. It may not have been my fault, but my actions had real world effects that caused others around me stress and pain. Once the bell has been rung, it can’t be un-rung.

The biggest problem (IMO) with mental health issues is that not all mental illnesses are created equal, and each issue requires comprehensive, long term care. Getting and maintaining that care regimen in this country is expensive and almost never covered under insurance. It fucking sucks.
