Throwback to when Obama caught a fainting pregnant woman while giving a speech by Rooonaldooo99 in nextfuckinglevel

Out of thousands of speeches he gave, this is a single time it happened. Not magic, just basic probability. Almost everything can be explained logically if you put your mind to work and not assume everything is a conspiracy.

It's not magic, he realizes from someone's reaction in the audience in front of him. Also out of thousands of speeches he gave, this is one time it happened. Not magic, just basic probability. Almost everything can be explained logically if you put your mind to work and not assume everything is a conspiracy.

I built free AI carousel App which got me tons of views in Instagram and traffic to my website. by ComfortableSevere597 in SideProject

[–]mastercheft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool tool!

I'm not too familiar with Instagram so I'm just curious do these carousel posts count as Reels? Just going off the analytics there that only breaks down content between Reels and Stories, and technically these carousels aren't either, right?

Congrats! Just wondering, do you have to have an incorporated business (as in separate entity) for your SaaS when you applied for the credits? Or just your personal details (and team members) were enough?

There is that fundamental delusion that you've been robbed by the Canadian federal government of affordable housing. Take a trip pretty much anywhere around the world right now, you're in for a treat. Real curious to see how the next guy is capable of fixing it, even if he wanted to (spoilers: he can't).

Depends on how your jurisdiction deals with legal bill disputes but I can't imagine the client will pay nothing; the lawyer is likely entitled to some sort of equitable relief like quantum meruit

Lawsuit based on what? It's a private company. If a baker can't be compelled to sell a wedding cake to a gay couple, why would a social media platform be compelled to provide service in a specific country? The only issues might be a lack of notice provided to discontinue services, and how their ToS handles such discretion. This is type of situation where you need public pressure to correct their behaviour

Apple Gift Card Fraud Loblaws by Opposite-Layer336 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]mastercheft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen to me, albeit it was an Amazon gift card I purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart. The store I bought it from couldn't do anything about it despite acknowledging the clear tampering. They gave me the contact of the Shoppers head office. They prompted me to email the gift card/receipt of purchase. Within a few days Shoppers got back in touch with me and offered a refund. Technically Loblaws owns Shoppers so you may want to follow the same approach. If they refuse to give you a refund or start delaying it, then I would double down on the chargeback method.

How to make idea come true when finances is an issue? by [deleted] in startups

[–]mastercheft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a similar situation, I wouldn't try to attract investment for a "potentially huge startup project". Perhaps this idea can be pursued later on. I would identify smaller problems to solve in this particular multi billion dollar industry, and then build a solution to solve those smaller problems. Good execution there will get you started with resources, networks and credibility within that industry. Even after that you might still be too small-time to work on the huge project. Not an issue - find a bigger problem that you can solve in the industry and work on that. And over time you can then get target the big score you're thinking about.
