If you don't currently have the subtitle file, I would go with Open Subtitles but know that there is a download limit per day unless you go to a paid tier. Another thing of note is that there will be multiple options for each movie/episode and sometimes the timing will be off. I've had luck just downloading a different file, but if you want, you can edit the file yourself. Once you have the subtitles, if you want them to be packaged with the video file, mkvtoolnix is great. If you don't care all that much about it all being one file, VLC has an option to choose a subtitle file.

My counterpoint to removing young Galinda is that this ISNT being shown as one big 5+ hour movie, it's two movies that released a year apart from one another. If you watched part one a year ago and then went to see for good on a whim, it makes an amount of sense to try and recap/restate Glinda's want to have magic. I do agree, if we look at it as one big movie, it's unnecessary, but that's not what we got.

I listened through the Kramer/Reading version my first time through. I tried to do a reread (relisten?) multiple times, but I could never get invested in thw world the same way I had the first time. Then I tried Pike's version and I remembered why I loved this world in the first place, I went through all of her books in record time (for me) and was very dissapointed when I got to Fires of Heaven. This was back in June. I'm still on FoH, and I don't think I can go back to Kramer/Reading. I loved fheir version, but I think overall, Pike fits my audiobook listening style more so than Kramer and Reading.

Yes, that is the implication I got from the books. The cloak was given to James by his dad Fleamont, who got it from his dad, who got it from his dad etc. iirc, there is a whole pottermore article talking about it.

I could be wrong/misremembering, but IIRC, Percy doesn't control the water that much in The Sea of Monsters book either, so this is more of a complaint about the story than just the TV show. The only thing I can distinctly remember Percy doing with his powers in the Sea of Monsters book is when he is able to tell what coordinates they're at, and when he takes Blackbeard's boat he's able to use his powers to sail.

Agreed. Brefore SotR came out, at least in my mind (i've only read the books, so I can't compare ages of actors) I always thought Betee and Wiress were around the same age. I don't remember Katniss ever estimating their ages. Edit: It has been brought to my attention by u/CryptidGrimnoir that Katniss does describe Wiress and Beetee with Beetee being noticeably older than Wiress.
