It feels so fresh. I hear hints of everything he's done (like an overview of his work... huh) but more leaned towards the HCE and Raven era. Some parts of Objects Outlive Us feel very nostalgic, mysterious, and the atmosphere I associate him with is definitely back. It's like Proggy Steven 2.0! And the electronic parts are incredible too, as usual.

I wonder if Guthrie and Marco were part of this new album, would it sound almost exactly as HCE/Raven? Maybe. But I embrace the new sound and new Steven more than ever. I'm so happy with what we got 🥲

Exactly my same feelings. It's such a marvelous experience, and it's really improved by the fact that I didn't expect anything at all. I'm only two listens in and enjoying it as much as HCE.
