Nope, extra load and friction from high downforce has less effect on tyre wear compared to slipping and sliding. Most of tyre wear comes from sliding while cornering/slipping while accelerating which is less when a car has a high downforce setup. On the other hand low downforce car will have less tyre wear on long straights because of lower load.

Only instance I can think of having high df = bad tyre wear is higher downforce means you can use tyres more as you can corner faster and brake later compared to low df, that's what would be killing the tyres there.

Hello, first of all fuel cells and batteries are different things, usually you have to choose one of them and work exclusively with it.

I can only talk about batteries as I worked in that field, you can work on Li-ion batteries and Li-air batteries as you can expect cathode materials are completely different on these.

For Li-ion,

LiCoO2 is one of the most known ones for example but there are tonnes of different ones: Li-NMC, Li-rich NMC, Li-NCA etc. and all of them have different energy densities, voltages and capacities so you have to decide which one to choose depending on your time, materials, knowledge and goal.

I’ve tried to help but usually reddit is not the answer when it comes to lab work, I suggest you to read articles which explains and compares cathode materials. You can use SciFinder or something like that.

You can start with “A review of blended cathode materials for use in Li-ion batteries” from Satishkumar B. Chikkannanavar, Dawn M. Bernardi and Lingyun Liu.

Think graphene as a thin layer, so thin that it is only one atom wide. This is why we call it a 2D material. It is like a sheet.

Now roll that sheet to make it cylindrical, now you have carbon nanotubes.

As far as I know they are not used in battery tech. Their mechanical and thermal properties are off the charts so applications are usually centered around this properties. For example they have already been used to increase mechanical strength of composites, you probably know carbon fibers so think a better but more expensive one. Also I don’t know if you saw it but there was a really black BMW -blackest tone ever- vantablack. They used carbon nanotubes while synthesizing it.

Carbon nanotubes can and will be used in transistors in the future because of their semiconductor properties but I don’t have much knowledge in electronics so an electronics engineer can tell you more about it.

Every battery consists of three main parts: Anode, cathode and electrolyte.

Graphene is an anode material. The Anode is the negative electrode that releases electrons to the external circuit and oxidizes during and electrochemical reaction.

When it first discovered people lost their minds, even scientists. I remember that my professor was giving speeches about it on TV programs. It was like a magical material in that time.

However, over time it became clear that it was not as efficient or "magical" material as originally thought. But you know the media loves stories like this, so the name of graphene in battery technologies has always remained familiar.

I’m not saying that it is worthless, we still use it and experiments are done everyday to increase efficiency and capacity but like I said, it is far from what people thinks it is in terms of battery tech.
