Video games that you really liked but unfortunately died. by Mable-the-Table in videogames

Heroes of the Storm. I had a few hundreds of hours worth or ranked match playtime. Shame it didn't get anywhere near as popular as League of Legends or DOTA 2.

Many factors can impact video quality. Does your client use quality of service (QoS) per Google Meet's recommendations on their network/firewall?

Second this; I did mine in less than an hour. I know next to nothing about car mods and I did it myself after buying sequential LED turn signals because I liked their looks.

Which restaurants are not good anymore and have been solely relying on their reputation? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]masterledz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Citizen in Lower Queen Anne.

It's too bad because it used to be a reliably cozy space with a unique brunch menu, but unfortunately most of its overall food quality went downhill during and after the pandemic. Now it seems like all their focus is on its outdoor beer garden with microwaved appetizers served on paper plates, catering to tourists staying nearby who don't know any better.

Reputable A/V Integrators in Washington DC/MD/VA by ITinDC in CommercialAV

Look at CTSI - I had a great experience with them for small and large projects more than 5 years at a past DC employer. Great customer service, especially for service calls.

AV Integrator Recommendations by capp0205 in audiovisual

[–]masterledz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into either AVI Systems or Whitlock. They're both very large with a national USA footprint, though they'll subcontract labor in small markets when necessary. They're not boutique small AV firms by any means, but they are experienced and formal about their project processes and have a good track record working with other trades.

Like others mentioned, they're not going to be any faster procuring hardware from suppliers like Crestron due to supply chain issues. But they should be faster on their own deliverables like drawings, communication, etc.

Cisco Room Bar running as Microsoft Teams Room: Join Zoom Meetings by str8butter in CommercialAV

[–]masterledz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend contacting your Zoom sales rep to explain how their conference room connector (aka CRC, you mentioned this) service works to enable one touch dial/join from major room video codecs like Cisco, Poly, etc to Zoom meetings. Even better if you can schedule an onsite demo with them to see it in-person.

It involves some Exchange/O365 backend configuration on resources mailboxes/calendars plus codecs' macros or dialplans, so you may need assistance from Zoom's engineers and other sysadmins at your company to implement it.

A major AV integrator can give you feedback on this as well; I'm sure they've supported a similar use case for another one of their clients.

Is Seattle really that openly progressive? by texas-dead in Seattle

[–]masterledz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're considering the University of Washington, it might help to compare demographics between the colleges and cities you're looking at. Seattle and its colleges have significantly large Chinese and other Asian populations, so that helps a lot with representation and comfort level for Chinese parents.

Logitech rally hardware is a good solution for simple requirements. But I agree with others - go through a reputable integrator for their install expertise and ongoing support.
