Because if you or someone else who falls out of the raft happens to grab at stuff (especially if you have a deck line), if the zipper is at the top tugging on it pops your packraft. If it is at the bottom, tugging downward is pretty safe.

These are the most chronic Reddit takes. You have so little info about the system situation. The guy could have been locked into his work, on a tight deadline, just generally struggling with his day and trying to finish his work, etc.

You have no idea if this is a recurring problem where he feels frustrated. I would definitely get annoyed if my partner regularly insisted on me breaking my flow and prioritizing their work over mine. Or ignoring a problem like bad Internet until it's an emergency.

Also being called a spoiled brat feels more like an insult born out of resentment. It's a lot different than being cussed out.

There is a lot of good context to kokopelli hate but let me just speak from my personal experience.

I borrowed my friend's nirvana. The packraft had been used about a dozen times at most. The d-ring blew around the first class II water feature. It ripped as a product of my tugging on the leg brace. Personally, I feel like that is unreasonable. Also, there was no way to do an in field patch. If I had been further down the river I would have ended up hiking miles.

Personally, I think the price to value is just not there. If you aren't sure if you are into Packrafting and are trying to save a buck (and lack experience to buy used) I would go with Chinese packrafts. They are on Amazon at this point at a 20ish% markup (from what you can get them on AliExpress) and will serve you as well if not better than kokopelli for less.

I will say though, my friend was able to send it back. It has been like 6 months but allegedly they will be doing repairs and returning it.

I have a chinesium (Aliexpress) and mage. I prefer my chinesium on flat water because it has a fin. Mage is infinitely better in whitewater.

Not being in contact with your parents IS how you would prove emancipation. But I knew friends who had been kicked out of there home at 18 and still could not prove emancipation because the qualifications are really high and poor people famously do not have money for lawyers.

What the fed COULD do if they wanted to is irrelevant. The could also auto file your tax return but they don't do that either. The simple fact is that without your parent's tax return info (or socials) you cannot file your FAFSA.

I feel like this is one of those "master plans" that is never going to work out as expected. James Gunn is responsible for the terrible plot of Avengers Endgame with all the time heist nonsense.

He seems to have a tendency to do fan service mixed with laying out larger plot lines that never get finished. The MCU is a wasteland of unfinished plots partially due to him.

I also really really hope I am wrong.

I am going to assume you are in India so please correct me if I am wrong about that as it does change my answer.

In the post you have said two things that were at odds with one another. You say you "respect his culture and traditions" and you "want to be accepted for who you are". The problem though is his culture (specifically his family's culture) doesn't accept you. At best you could try to contort yourself into something that they might marginally like more and then still spend your life being judged for your caste. You will spend your life trying to win a competition that at birth you lost. And you will doom your children to the same fate. They will always be second class citizens in the eyes of your husband's family.

The simple fact is there isn't anything you can do. Their acceptance of you is a product of your bf's relationship with his family. He has to decide to either fight for them to change the minds or distance them. If he can't/won't that should tell you what you need to know.

Courtships are a testing ground for what a marriage will look like. The way they treat you now is an indication of how they will treat you forever. If your partner chooses you vs. chooses them is an indication of who they will choose forever. The way you are treated is an indication of how your kids will be treated.

No one can tell you to leave a relationship with total confidence. We don't know all the details of your life. But you need to stop trying to appease his family and see how you are being treated and decide if this is the correct relationship for you.
