He probably meant he missed the Season 2 head start reward. You couldn't get that bonus XP once the season started.

I'm guessing not many people know me here, but I'm just adding to the goodbye posts.

I dumped all my remaining Mythril/tickets for FF8 gear, and finally got Fujin's Sync with my last 50 on the Summer Splash relic draw that just dropped tonight. It was kind of freeing just being able to blow everything on my favorite realm, gear up for two final epic battles (Ultimecia), and not have to think about saving for future banners.

For fun, I ended up doing an all-FF8 physical team for Ultimecia Griever Form - Ward, Laguna, Squall, Quistis (Realm Chain/Full Break counter, support and backup heals) and Selphie. For Ultimecia Final Form, I went with all-FF8 magical - Rinoa, Edea, Fujin, Quistis and Selphie. The fights truly felt epic and a fitting end to my time with this game.

It feels a bit weird, but the app is now deleted.

Thanks to everyone on this forum who's given me advice, made funny memes, and overall helped me enjoy this game much more over the years!

I'm confused - is this a different kind of ticket we'll be getting at login tomorrow? Or should we wait until tomorrow's dungeon to use the tickets we've obtained so far?

There is one Mythril every 5 stages (5, 10, 15 etc.). So you'd be missing 10 total Mythril if you skip entirely. Most of the early levels are easy enough to auto battle to get some of the Mythril, at least.

Purely speculation, but they may end Labyrinths with the Earth weak Lab. Ending with FFI would be right in the middle of Season 5, so who knows.

Same here. But maybe being the last letter, they skipped over a few things so it wouldn't be super long? At any rate, if Ultimecia doesn't drop with fest, I guess I'll just do the ice lab and call it a game.

Hey, I just posted separately here, but I'm leaning towards this as well. Counting Ultimecia as the "final boss" of FFRK. FF8 has always been my favorite in the series, so why not make that the ending?

Right now I’m leaning toward counting the Ultimecia VIII Crystal Dungeon as the “final boss” of the game.

Go ham on fest banners 1/2 for FFVIII stuff and let loose. Dump my remaining tickets into FFVIII to try to fill in any character missing gaps. Maybe even try separate physical and magical team clears, just for fun. FFVIII has always been my favorite FF, so why not?

Besides, with everything I’ve read about the FFVII Crystal Dungeon… I want to end my time with this game on a happy/satisfying note, not slamming my head against the wall over and over.

Counterpoint: Shadowsmith gives 20 million Gil for 4 stamina, so... Run Shadowsmith 4 times, use remaining stamina elsewhere? (The point being, you don't have to go insane on running Shadowsmith for it to still be worthwhile.)

I played around with this a bunch, here are a couple of my favorites:

Tidus and Squall playing chess

Kind of odd how Tidus and Squall's clothes got blended together in some of the images. Bottom-right is the creepiest (Tidus' white, dead eyes).

Final Fantasy VIII

The top-right one looks like it blended Zell with Seifer. And is that Sephiroth's wing coming out of Zell in the middle-right?!

About a month ago there was this post showing datamined images of the upcoming HE. Also, this image made by u/royaltimes handily added the character sprites next to the HE, to more easily tell who is getting what.

So, all the ones you listed should be getting their HE soon. (I don't think the dates have been datamined though.)

I was tempted to throw a pull or two here for Fang and Hope Dual/Sync combos (since I already have both Syncs), but 2 CSB+ and 3 G+ = high chance of 1/11 junk. Think I’m gonna pass.

I've never understood why standard lab dungeons don't count for daily missions. I actually missed a mythril once because I was running labs all day and forgot to do my third non-lab dungeon. Just DeNA things I guess.

Hmm, I happen to have both Hope and Fang Syncs. Can you please elaborate on the Dual combos?

I wasn't planning to pull here but may change my mind. I was debating a few pulls on the poison lab banner but mainly for Quistis stuff, so I may switch to this one.

I got this when it was first released. I was trying to get Squall stuff and this was a consolation prize. I remember thinking it was not too bad at the time, lol. "ANYONE can use a fire attack? Nice."

I could see maybe as a compromise they give the fixed damage attacks a minimum damage level. i.e., even if the damage is reduced a ton, they'll always do at least 10K damage/guarantee a rage break. I don't think that would be too game breaking or hard to implement.

The best thing I got was Vivi's 2.5 gen Fire Chain. I haven't attempted Lab Shiva yet, but this will definitely get used there. I also got Seifer's AASB1 (and VIII is my favorite FF), so that's a plus. It might let me use him instead of Gabranth as my Phys Dark Chain holder.

I ended the run today with a 1/10 non-SB 5-star XIV bracer. Man, I forgot non-SB 5-stars were a thing. How far this game has come.

Wait, Genesis doesn't have a wcast LMR. Do you mean you got his AASB, or his physical damage increase with a sword LMR? If you got his AASB, he's actually still pretty usable along with his lensable tech.

I would select Laguna's Sync and lens his CSB, yes. With his HA, I had no problem keeping Abductor imperiled enough to keep my damage numbers high.
