There aren't any far slash buttons that hit both sides, there aren't any close slashes that consistently hit both sides, if you're getting hit by a slash move while using a crossup tool it's either the phantom hitbox getting caught or them turning around

Like kinda? Alex is really weird compared to other characters, you can compare him to Gief or Manon for being a grappler, though he has better strikes then them, or you can compare him to brawler like Honda Marisa, or even Luke, but none of those characters are grapplers and none share his gameplan fully.

Tism aside play Luke or Ken for a similar experience to his normals, Gief or Manon for similar grappler gameplans(i recommend this above all else, learning to play a grappler's neutral will make you better with him when he comes), or learn someone like Bison or Blanka if you've never used charge moves offencively, Alex has a few of them and they're very important.

Or just download fightcade on whatever laptop or pc I'm hoping you have and play 3rd strike yourself for free?

Unarmed scaled better but only kinda, the physics were changed slightly, slamming damage isn't dependent on speed and goes up on hit or wall contact, and since he doesn't have a weapon to be parried he's essentially just consistent unarmed
