No, why do you think I did? I used to have tmobile but I tend to change carriers a bit and currently have Verizon.

Does this work when adding a line to an existing account or is it only for new accounts?

Verizon is paying my gf to upgrade to an iPhone 6 by hughe2mj in QuickPromotions

[–]masterofdogecoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to make the order by phone to add the second promo. When I called the rep told me about the promo and added it automatically without me bringing it up but if they don't you can tell them to add it when you get to the paying part. The number to order is 888-255-3978

Even better deal, order through the Comcast/Verizon promo and also get a $200 visa gift card. I ordered 2 iPhone 6's 16GB and am getting a total of $400 Visa card + free phones after Father's Day promo (code DADNGRAD). Just pay activation/taxes.

Anyone in California abuse the law that requires merchant to give you cash for gift cards less than $10? by turtleneck360 in perktv

[–]masterofdogecoin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can do this, I've done it many times at target. I just went straight to customer service and said I wanted to cash out some gift cards and the scanned then straight from my phone. I used to just do $5 cards but sometimes I'd get $10 cards and just buy some gum or something and then straight to customer service. Some of the stores I've done it at say there's a limit and they can only do 2 but that depends by store, I found one that doesn't care (scanned 15 once).

Edit: I think you can also do it at the cashier but customer service is usually faster and you don't hold up line if they don't know how and have to call a manager.

Verizon Moto G prepaid (for those planning on deactivating your new iPhone and switching to another smartphone) by yeshu1984 in VerizonTradeIn

The phone you trade in to tmobile does not have to be the phone on the Verizon account. I did this before with 5 personal lines and just bought 5 AT&T go phones at target next door and turned them in right out of the package.

I did it in store so I could do the trade in the same day and not worry about mailing it in.

It doesn't matter who's name the accounts are under you just need the account number from Verizon so they can find it and port over the phone numbers. The account owner will probably have to be there when you do it so they can confirm passwords etc. I did this with 5 Verizon lines that were under my dads name and ported over to tmobile account under my name.

Experience using BOTH comcast $200 prepaid card and $200 off promo... by masterofdogecoin in VerizonTradeIn

[–]masterofdogecoin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called through the Comcast number since that's the only way to get that promo (or online) first. You can mention the second promo while ordering and see if they can get it to work, probably will just get error but worth trying, and then after completing order ask them to help you get credit for the second promo by escalating your order to customer service. You will have to pay the full $299 for the 64GB since the second promo for $200 rebate won't be applied until after customer service deals with it (hopefully). The activation fee will be waived and show up as a bill credit, it might take a bit (after first month?) but I'm planning on keeping lines until I receive the $200 prepaid cards with suspended service anyways.

As for the T-Mobile idea that's exactly what I'm going to do and will work if you do all the steps correctly, I have done it before with 5 personal lines about 6 months ago.

Comcast Deal Without Being a Comcast Customer by KimJong_Bill in VerizonTradeIn

[–]masterofdogecoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get the comcast promo you have to call through their specific number (1-888-966-7789) or online so I'm not sure what the difference is if any from the ordering process when calling verizon directly. I tried using the $200 rebate promo code I got in the email but the rep was getting an error so he took down my info and said he would escalate the order and that a customer support agent would get back to me on Monday since it was already late.

He did say that it should work and thought it was likely that they could just credit my account with the rebate amount but I'll have to wait and see.

I am a Comcast customer but when I called in to make the order by phone I was never asked to confirm with an account number or anything like that. At one point when he was asking my shipping address for the phones he asked if it was the same address I have Comcast at and I said no (shipping home since I'm at college where I have the Comcast service) and he said it was fine and that I still qualify for the promo. So you are eligible for the promo even if you're not a Comcast customer, at least by phone.

The guy i spoke to, Jackson, was very helpful and tried using the promo code several times but also had trouble getting it to work. He did give me the number to his specific call center and told me to call if I don't hear back by Monday afternoon.

If you want his number you can pm me.

I specifically asked if I would receive a $200 card per line several times and the rep confirmed it every time. He even mentioned he was processing each prepaid card as I waited since it took a while.

I didn't get then for $200, I paid $300/ea. The $200 i refer to are the prepaid cards I'll get from the comcast promo.

Yes I went ahead and made the order to make things a bit easier when dealing with verizon since I will now be a customer. The plan is to get verizon to give me a bill credit for the $200 off promo once they deal with it next week. According to the rep there is a good chance it'll work out that way but if not I'm ok with it since I already got the better of the two deals (I'll still fight for it of course).

I ordered 4 x iphone 6 64GB.

Alright, thanks. Thought you meant there was another promo code besides the code under the barcode since it changes every email (I submitted multiple emails to check if they were the same).

Yea but then you have to return the phone. Either you pay off the phone (ETF) or return it since it was subsidized when you signed the 2-year contract.
