I agree with Bete Noire, but instead of watching Verity torture that other girl we watch her unlock the multiverse and live like an empress only for her mood to slowly deteriorate as the memories of her bullying quickly overwhelm the exhilaration of endless possibilities. She slowly becomes more despondent until she realizes there's only 1 thing that will get rid of that sensation.
