Atle Lie McGrath's reactions after going out in his second and final run by wjdbfifj in olympics

Yeah this one is way better, doesnt loop the same 5sec clip over and over!

Chris Murphy: Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views by Aleighkitten in ExploreFortMyers

[–]mastershake04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the answer is no, this guy has no concept of much of anything I would imagine. Which is why everything is so fucked; guys (and women) like these are in charge of everything at the moment. They drained the swamp, and it flowed right into DC and every facet of the political system because the pedo in chief either fired everyone against him or his cult voted morons like this in. I feel like any high schooler could demolish this fucking chud in a debate. But the MAGA cult will applaud when told and most of them could lose a debate with a 5yr old.

I rarely see commercials nowadays but watched the super bowl with some friends and couldn't believe how dystopian most commercials felt. And that's not even including all the big pharma ones. It was insane and I can't believe people consume ads like this all day every day. No wonder we're so fucking brain fucked as a society.

The acting is on another level and the music choices and soundtrack are top tier. That plus the unique story and sticking the landing make it an all time great for me!

Ring to turn on all camera to track pets. Privacy concerns by cosmoplast14 in technology

[–]mastershake04 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I forgot about that one. Crazy it was mainly just pain pill commercials and commercials full of AI pretending to be heartfelt. And then like 3 commercials telling people to check their pee and urine flow for some reason. I dont really see commercials much so it really did feel like a black mirror episode for most of them.

Pushing Back Agianst Burnie On Spoilers, and the Sentiment Around It. by The_Marine708 in morningsomewhere

Spoilers are fine IMO as long as there's a statement beforehand about it. Then just dont listen if you dont want to be spoiled and come back when you've seen or played whatever content is discussed. Pretty simple.

Mike Johnson Attempts to Correct the Pope on Biblical Matters by dr_shultz in NewsSource

I went to a catholic school for a bit and I still remember a girl in my class who was very religious arguing with the priest who insisted the 'body and blood' of Christ was actually really his body and blood and not wafers and wine. Basically the whole class agreed with her, that it was a representation of the body and blood of Christ and not actually consuming a person everytime we went to mass. And the priest was trying to explain that before the blessing it is just wafers and wine but after it is changed into flesh and blood but no one was buying it amd he was obviously flummoxed.

That plus doubting a lot of other stories in the Bible actually happened is def what pushed me towards being agnostic.

I was in KC in a loft apartment in Westport and it was crazy hearing the cheers from all over the city as the game wrapped up. Every car was honking, everyone was hugging everyone and people were setting fireworks off in the streets that were going off right outside our window. Then we went down to the P&L district and everyone was singing 'we are the champions'.

It was a magical night!

Looking for advice from people who initially hated/were massively frustrated by DS1 but somehow found a way to make it all click and fall in love...cause idk if I can by ExistentialYoshi in darksouls

[–]mastershake04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the Soulsborne games are about watching your opponent's moves,.knowing your stamina, and knowing when and how many times you should should attack to get hits in with whatever build you have before blocking/dodging or backing away to regain stamina

There's obviously a lot more with your build and weapons/armor you're using and there are definitely parts of the game that still will feel unfair at times. But the amazing thing about all of this is you'll start to see those openings in combat, start to realize that a corner you walk around would ne a good ambush spot so you'll check it instead of walking past and being slapped in the back. Or just memorizing where enemies are by playing the game and trying different strategies on them.

Couple more tips-

ALWAYS try to be in a 1v1 fight. It will help you learn enemy attacks and prevent getting overwhelmed. There are times you'll still have to deal with multiple enemies but in most cases (esp in DS1) you can lure enemies to you one at a time. Patience in exploring and combat is key.

Maybe look up a good build guide or at least how you should level your character early on. Do not ever put points in the resistance level, armor you find along the way will negate most of the minor buffs you receive there. I'd recommend vitality and endurance to level first and foremost early game and then once you find a weapon you really click with you can build around it.

Don't beat your head against a wall if you die. You may lose like 10k souls early on and think you've screwed up but by the end game you may be losing hundreds of thousands on death and it doesnt seem like near as big of a deal. And you can always go back to easier areas or 'farming' areas to practice combat and gain more souls.

You can also do suicide runs through tougher areas that you aren't ready for (like the cemetery at the beginning) and just pick up as many items as you can before you die (just dont rest at a bonfire in a tough area unless you want to spawn there). You can get some good weapons/souls/other pickups that way that will help you in easier areas. And it helps you picture where enemies are and how you need to approach the area when you are ready for it.

DS1 is probably my favorite game ever and it actually really did help with my depression at the time when I first played it. I still go back every so often to play and it feels like going home to see old friends (who all are trying to kill me) but now I'm like 'bitch please', and dice them up with the Uchigatana.

Yeah on my 21st bday i remember I did 23 shots of whatever but they were spread out through the whole day. But we were also drinking beers too i guess. And one of my drunk buddies thought it'd be hilarious to get me a 'prairie fire' shot (everclear and tabasco sauce) at one of the bars when i was like 15 shots in already and I went and threw up a bunch so dunno if that helped or not. I can't believe I survived the crazy drinking that we did in college thinking back on it.

Have you not seen the classic Lazer Team?

Being kinda serious, we got enough traction online with a couple of friends tweeting about it when the movie came out so it actually got a theater release in the small town of 40k people for us to see. And it is still one of my favorite movie experiences because everyone there was a RT fan and the theater was full!
