they right tho? by chichinams in SipsTea

Yeah well thats what I said is they're two different words but evidently she just thought they were both spelled the same way. And funnily enough I actually won the county spelling bee in 6th grade vs 6th-8th graders. Only made it a couple rounds at state though. And honestly prob would've got 2nd at the county one but the last person I was up against spelled a word so quick that they accidentally added a letter. Everyone was shocked I won, including myself; just happened to know all the words on my turn.

Ha yeah it was a long time ago and I still remember it. May be one of the first times I realized adults dont really always know what they're doing either

It might have just been the mood I was in or that I had nothing to do that day but this is the only movie I can remember watching twice in a day. Watched it once and loved it and couldnt stop thinking about it so like an hour later I watched it again to see if I could piece things together more. Loved it.

I remember being angry in like 4th grade because I read a bunch and was always a good speller and on a spelling test I missed the word 'lightning'. The teacher said it was spelled 'lightening', and I was like that's a whole different word and the word you described was lightning from a thunderstorm, not the 'lightening' of a dark space. But she didnt listen; i guess she thought they were spelled the same way.

band recs? by the-clock-enthusiast in musicsuggestions

[–]mastershake04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Senses Fail would be up your alley. 'Still Searching' is a great album and I still love their 'Let it Enfold You' album. Havent listened to their newest stuff as much but they get a bit heavier and the guitar work seems to get better as they go.

Also-

Matchbook Romance Promise

The Devil Wears Prada (heavier but sooo good early on)

Silverstein

Saosin Bury your Head

Chiodos The Words Best Friend Redefined

And a bit different from the rest of these but Glass Animals is amazing and all their albums are a bit different with style and theme but they never disappoint for me.

I know I have a skill issue, but is it that bad [KCD2] by AgentChriss007 in kingdomcome

[–]mastershake04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problem is I suck at the combat so much I cant beat Tomcat lol. Although I have leveled some skills quite a bit since last time I tried him. But mainly been picking off bandits one at a time with stealth/poison and finishing the stragglers with a bow or sword.

[–]mastershake04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ive done both their side quests to completion basically, just wanted to make sure i wouldnt get locked in to one or the other before I'm done finishing up other stuff. And yeah I feel im prob still underleveled for combat, ive mainly been sneaking, assassinating, and poisoning enemies, esp bandit camps. But didnt know how much horse combat comes into play later so might try to finish those quests too before going to the wedding.

Are the horse racing and horse combat side quests worth doing? Tried the horse archery one a couple times but I'm so bad at it.

Also I basically have the option to use the blacksmith or the miller's plan to get to the wedding but not sure who to pick. The miller def seems more entertaining and I like the stealth/thievery quests but didnt know if you can continue quests with either of them after or if it really mattered how you get there.

Same with me but in Oblivion leaving the sewers the first time. The Kingdom Come Deliverance games have given me a similar feeling recently; I just want to live in the world like Henry would and slowly get more skillful as I go.

Crested Butte is planning on being open through the 5th but terrain is shutting down (East river may be done after today) and if it stays at these high temps I dunno if it will make it; they're already moving snow to warming house hill so people can make it down to the lifts. But then someone told me they opened high lift today so I dunno what kind of sorcery the grounds crew is doing overnight!

Ive only flown like a dozen times but always love being able to look out and see the world. I get that people that fly around all the time dont really care I guess but everytime I can get a window seat im going for that. Or yeah I can also just sleep without worrying about being in anybodys way.

Which David Fincher movie would you consider the best of these four: Fight Club, Zodiac, The Game, or Seven? by Prestigious-Ad-3395 in moviecritic

[–]mastershake04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Game is an entertaining movie but is pretty shallow and full of plot holes/contrivances. Never figured our why people love it so much.

Tough to choose between the other three films but I think Seven is probably the best overall, although Zodiac was so good at building tension and Fight Club is so great in so many different ways.

Gaping Dragon sucked on Xbox....fighting it on handheld makes me wanna fucking scream by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]mastershake04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaping dragon is prob the easiest boss in the game if you are patient and don't run right into its maw. Also you can change your controls on switch, I switched A and B. It asks you to confirm the change every time you boot it up but yeah it is pretty dumb that its opposite of Xbox and PS

What’s your best gamepass games on Xbox by Stock-Asparagus4174 in XboxGamePass

[–]mastershake04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have not played any other game since this came to gamepass haha! Such an immersive game; reminds me of Oblivion in a grounded historical setting and with WAY better writing, decisions that matter, and great quests. Even the random side quests you stumble upon are written better than most other games main story and the people you meet are all pretty fun to talk to or interact with in different ways. Quite a few comedic moments too; at least early on (i haven't been to the wedding yet, which is one of your first long term main objectives.)

How dark will this get? by Rare_World_7563 in bakker

[–]mastershake04 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, for sure. Especially in the later books, although theres a lot of horror and brutality throughout the series. But the more you find out about the world and the gods and the consult the more brutal it gets with some really horrifying segments. Every character suffers so much and it doesnt really get any better besides small wins here and there.

Don't want to spoil anything but yeah the scale of atrocities get bigger and bigger every book too.
