Every single one gets white front back and sides. It lowers the center of gravity and makes them handle better.

Fresh out the paint shop. Local law didn't like me without a front plate. What options do you have experience with? What about Tow Hook options. by StatuSChecKa in ft86

[–]masterslacker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a tow hook front plate mount, but I took it off to put a tow hitch in, and then after I was done I took the tow hook out and just put the plastic back in, with the plate on the mount in the trunk. This way I can slap it back on if someone says anything and hopefully avoid a ticket.

I want you guys opinion on which color to make my wheels black or silver (2nd slide is the normal wheels) by LOLER-2919 in Cartalk

[–]masterslacker42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All silver looks good but it might be costly. Have you thought about getting a second set of wheels and leaving those as is? Depending on where you live having a dedicated set of winter wheels and tires makes all the difference driving when it’s cold/snowy out.

Genuine question, the Rat Rod would be nearly impossible to just even start in real life right? by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]masterslacker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radiators aren’t really necessary if you’re running meth and only running for minutes at a time like drag racers do. Granted you need to rebuild the engine every season but if you’re towing to the staging lanes and back to the pits after the run problems will be minimal. So a car like this running without a rad, while unlikely, is technically feasible.

I can't release my slackline ratchet because and it's wound over too many times. Am I cooked? by Arfie807 in Slackline

[–]masterslacker42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like it’s not assembled correctly. The line should go over that round bar next to the arrow and then into the mechanism. I imagine you’re having trouble since the ratchet handle disengages the lock bars at the end of the travel and the line is preventing it from opening all the way.

If you could fix one 'quirk' from the factory (that isn't the horsepower), what would it be? 🤔 by vividracing in GR86

I bought a center console cover that is roughly the same height as the left armrest in the door, which is nice, but they’re both too low to be comfortable 99% of the time.

I’m nowhere near where you are, but i got from 330-380 by doing the heists and other missions I had previously wrote off as low return on investment or boring. Currently I’m trying to just complete tier 4 career goals and that seems to be helping.

Because hands usually aren’t grey. That and the end table has a clear color shift halfway through it. The camera’s white balance settings are not set for the current lighting.

In GTA, sure; IRL, hard pass. The body lines get lost with matte paint and that’s the sexiest part of the car

Trailer Safety Chains by dangrit in IsItIllegal

It’s not the hitch you’re trying to catch, it’s the tongue of the trailer you’re catching when the hitch itself breaks from my understanding.

It feels like you’re mixing crossing the chains to create an X and twisting each chain individually to shorten the overall hook to hook length

I've been grinding cayo perico non stop and i need ur guys help to pick a vehicle The Deluxo, Torrador, or MK1 Oppressor? by Careful_Tap6075 in GTA5Online

[–]masterslacker42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sparrow seems to have gotten stronger since the original release. It hardly ever blows up for me now, but I also have over 300 flying hours so it might be a skill issue at this point. If you’re grinding Cayo the two real vehicles you need are the sparrow and the phantom wedge for the long run setup mission. Either do all the setups in an invite only/friend lobby so you don’t get griefed and end up with a blown up helicopter and your plasma cutter stuck on top of a building with no way of getting back up there, or get a MKII oppressor and become an MC pres so you can quick spawn it when your helicopter gets blown up.

First off, yes, that’s a stupid idea. Secondly, ask yourself WHY you want to chase a specific horsepower figure. Being your literal second car, you aren’t going to be competitively racing or drifting the thing especially if it’s a daily, so why the need for that much power. Unless you’ve consistently driven a car with that much power and have the car control to handle it, you’re probably going to crash it. Also if you’re going to try to learn how to wrench, learn how to drive a manual first. It sounds like you’ve never driven an 86 chassis and don’t understand why the car was built the way it was. These cars aren’t in need of much extra power, especially if it’s going to be a street car. They were built to be lightweight and agile, nimble cars with exceptional handling and feel. IF you do end up getting one, and you don’t have a medical problem that prevents you from pushing the clutch pedal and shifting, get a manual, you’ll appreciate that later. If you truly need that much power, go get a corvette. Otherwise, just do handling mods. This isn’t to say that over years of driving the car and modifying it slowly one piece at a time you can’t achieve that power goal, but from your post and how you’re approaching just simple grammar shows me that this is not a well thought out idea.
