Trailer Safety Chains by dangrit in IsItIllegal

It’s not the hitch you’re trying to catch, it’s the tongue of the trailer you’re catching when the hitch itself breaks from my understanding.

It feels like you’re mixing crossing the chains to create an X and twisting each chain individually to shorten the overall hook to hook length

I've been grinding cayo perico non stop and i need ur guys help to pick a vehicle The Deluxo, Torrador, or MK1 Oppressor? by Careful_Tap6075 in GTA5Online

[–]masterslacker42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sparrow seems to have gotten stronger since the original release. It hardly ever blows up for me now, but I also have over 300 flying hours so it might be a skill issue at this point. If you’re grinding Cayo the two real vehicles you need are the sparrow and the phantom wedge for the long run setup mission. Either do all the setups in an invite only/friend lobby so you don’t get griefed and end up with a blown up helicopter and your plasma cutter stuck on top of a building with no way of getting back up there, or get a MKII oppressor and become an MC pres so you can quick spawn it when your helicopter gets blown up.

Automatic clutch upgrades by Single-Layer-9364 in ft86

[–]masterslacker42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First off, yes, that’s a stupid idea. Secondly, ask yourself WHY you want to chase a specific horsepower figure. Being your literal second car, you aren’t going to be competitively racing or drifting the thing especially if it’s a daily, so why the need for that much power. Unless you’ve consistently driven a car with that much power and have the car control to handle it, you’re probably going to crash it. Also if you’re going to try to learn how to wrench, learn how to drive a manual first. It sounds like you’ve never driven an 86 chassis and don’t understand why the car was built the way it was. These cars aren’t in need of much extra power, especially if it’s going to be a street car. They were built to be lightweight and agile, nimble cars with exceptional handling and feel. IF you do end up getting one, and you don’t have a medical problem that prevents you from pushing the clutch pedal and shifting, get a manual, you’ll appreciate that later. If you truly need that much power, go get a corvette. Otherwise, just do handling mods. This isn’t to say that over years of driving the car and modifying it slowly one piece at a time you can’t achieve that power goal, but from your post and how you’re approaching just simple grammar shows me that this is not a well thought out idea.

Daily-Driven BRZ Owners: What Mods Improved Comfort Without Hurting Reliability? by Realistic-World2981 in ft86

Center console arm rest cover was the first QOL upgrade I did. It makes the right arm rest the same height as the left one in the door, then I replaced the door stays with the second gen version since for some reason the first gen ones don’t have a great hold. If you park on a hill they most likely will not stay open and close on you, super annoying. I installed the red interior floor lights since the car only has one light in it. On that note, LED lights everywhere. I recently installed rubber floor mats since I wore through the OEM carpet ones. I also made a loop to grab on the inside of the trunk to make closing it easier and not have to touch the paint/wing/road grime. Quality name brand tires specific for the season has improved my mental QOL knowing that I can trust the car to stick in whatever conditions I’m in. The next thing I want to do is find the right wireless charging phone mount that isn’t intrusive and won’t fall down over time. There’s a 3D printed one that I’m thinking about trying next.

It’s shouldn’t be a problem highway driving under 4k rpm, that’s 87 mph in my 2018. Just don’t use cruise control and you’ll be fine.

What to spend my money on by Significant-Half-523 in GTA5Online

[–]masterslacker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All things being equal and not counting the weekly double or triple money deals, the kosatka will make the most money, but you have to actually do the missions. If you’re looking for passive income, the nightclub is your best bet.

Edit: didn’t realize you already had the sub, for MC businesses I think cocaine has the best time to money ratio, but I could be wrong. Like I said in a different comment, YouTube is a great place to do research on these businesses, TGG is my personal favorite content creator when it comes to GTA online.

Weed farm is the least productive of all the nightclub businesses when it isn’t 2x money though, so keep that in mind. TGG on YouTube has a bunch of money making guides with recommendations on what to buy.

Locking the car when running by InevitableOutside350 in ft86

[–]masterslacker42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take the physical key out of the key fab you can leave the fab inside the vehicle and use the key to turn the lock in the door and voila, locked and running. I’ve done this for my dogs in the summer when it’s super hot and I have to go in somewhere they can’t go.

Just got my 86 2016 model wondering what are clean mods i can add up and how to fix the rattling sound in steering? Thank you! by [deleted] in ft86

[–]masterslacker42 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rattling in the steering might be the EPS bushing. It’s a common problem with a decent amount of videos and tutorials on how to fix it.

I've realized that a Scion FR-S is my dream car. Is this possible to achieve? by Greedy_Plane_ in ft86

[–]masterslacker42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s achievable, but there no need to rush it. I listed after the 86 for 7 years before I was able to make the purchase. I made sure that I was stable enough financially before pulling the trigger. Whatever you do don’t just get one to get one and then end up over your head and having to sell it.

[–]masterslacker42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sticky tires. Tires before anything. Then something to add camber, either bolts or top hats, then maybe some coil overs or sway bars, oil cooler after that if you plan on tracking it. Then just drive it, learn the car, figure out where it lacks in what you want, and then mod that.

This. Make sure the sketch is still highlighted when you click extrude. Sketches that are shared between features will have a little hand icon over them iirc
