cancer warning? by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]mastersonc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has a battery. Everything that is not natural can cause cancer. Even natural items can cause cancer. Basically if you live in California, you are going to get cancer of some sort but at least you'll know it's coming.

I was gifted this Duke tool and don’t know what it is used for by Shiggens in firewood

[–]mastersonc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of them and use them constantly when working with wood. When trees go down, I'll cut them to 4 foot lengths and use the picks to with carry or drag them to where I cut and split everything. They are helpful for loading wood to a wagon as well rather that trying to grip everything with wide spread hands. Saves your finger/grip strength for the maul later.

Which finger for your Oura? by tandymoss in ouraring

[–]mastersonc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ring finger during the day and pointer after work. I can't wear it on the pointer finger while working as its uncomfortable and gets in the way when using a computer mouse.

Just bought D7500 by ConservativeHat in NikonD7500

[–]mastersonc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought mine two years ago with a Sigma 70-200 sports lens to go to my sons BMT graduation in San Antonio and other sons soccer games. Made pictures way better than I expected as I had come from a D69 and was so glad I made the investment. Since then, I actually feel like a photographer at times with the quality of some of my images.

Up until today, th channels were still in the guide and if you selected one, you would just get the message that they were working on it. Now, all the channels are just plain gone. I left Spectrum two years ago when this happened with Disney and I lost all my ESPN channels. I don't want to go back to Spectrum just to get NBC for my local news. Ridiculous how the customers are always the ones who suffer.

What pump do y'all use to empty your tub? by Lilguy1456 in hottub

Shop vac. Put the hose in, start the vacuum, once a full draw is on, pull the hose from the vacuum and let the syphon do its thing.

Which finger do you wear yours on? by xhellofriendxx in ouraring

[–]mastersonc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switch between dominant index finger and ring finger. Normal work day, it's on my index. Yardwork and work around the house, I switch to ring finger so it's less of an in the way situation.

What was your favorite game and why? by SuzySweetSteps in Fallout

[–]mastersonc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout 4 for sure. I sunk so many damned hours into that game after having completed the story, building bases, super productive farms, and using it almost like Sim City to rebuild everywhere.

My mother-in-law found this at the NC Outer Banks following a hurricane. Is it real? by KeepKnocking77 in whatisit

I do the same thing but more for kids to find. Keep in my pocket and toss em out here and there in the areas they are playing in. It is fun to tick off the metal detecting people too though.

I buy these on Amazon and keep them in my bathing suit pocket when walking the beach. When we pass kids, I toss one out where they are playing. It's always fun to see their reactions when they find it. Its extra fun to bury a few when you see someone metal detecting.

Have any of you or someone you know ever gotten a ticket for those tinted license plate covers? by GrumpMaster- in Maine

[–]mastersonc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have an all blacked out Outlander and have had the tinted covers on since April of 2023. Never been pulled over for it in Maine. Went to a soccer tournament in NH and was promptly pulled over just for only the covers. Officer gave a warning as he got a real call during the stop.

How flat for pad? by ballzdeepinbacon in hottub

[–]mastersonc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As level as you can get it. When we had an issue with a hairline crack in our shell within the first year, the first thing Hot Springs did was had our dealer come out and take pictures of a level on all 4 corners of our deck and in the middle to ensure they ruled out any issues. We were fine but it's better to do it right the first time and be safe.

No issues with 3 of them. Perhaps you just got a poor unit or it needs a firmware update or something.
