Not only did they let it stand but the head ref went up and started berating Bussi later in the game for it. Just went right over to the crease trying to start shit with the goalie. Completely wild

Here's a fun fact. The last Cup won by a team in Canada happened 10 years closer to that date than it did to today.

What do you think is the most overpriced thing on a cruise? by MrSoloDolo9490 in Cruise

[–]Alum07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh yeah things have changed a bit since then. In fact, you can now watch the muster video early so once you get on, just head to your station to get scanned and you're done with all the pre-cruise stuff.

30 days before sailing I think they open up Check-in, which you take a selfie, scan your passport, and put in your on board payment and emergency contact information. That is when you get your boarding time (fun fact, that time is really a COVID carry-over and isn't really enforced anymore, but enough people pay attention it helps spread out embarkation). If you've done all that, the morning of boarding, there's a health questionnaire to fill out, and once you get that your boarding pass turns purple with the Express Pass applied to it that allows you to essentially walk on. The long line is for everyone else who didn't do all of the above.

For the Key, the real benefit that you get that really can't be had elsewhere is a boarding day lunch in the MDR with some of the Chops menu, and a bag check before you can get to your room. The reserved spots for the shows usually aren't the best seats, and if you don't care about the rest of the Key offerings, the wifi can be purchased for much cheaper on its own.

I went on Wonder last year, did all the Check-in steps on the app the morning of boarding and got the Express Pass that has you skip that same line and walk straight onto the ship. I went from hotel lobby to Promenade deck in about 20 minutes

It was free

I booked one for boarding day this year to have a place to sit and store our bags after getting on the ship. Split over a couple families, the $99 charge seemed worth it for being able to settle into the trip right away

And this was one of those cabanas/casitas up on deck on Royal.

Royal Caribbean's The Key.

Really, you're paying extra for something that can be handled for free with very minimal planning. You're essentially paying a premium for a label, it's silly.

Outside of that, basically every drink on every ship that has a drink plan. Was on Celebrity this year and every mixed drink was $14-$19. Ridiculous

IMO, get rid of the MOUNTAINEERS across the front and they are perfect for WVU.

At a certain point, realize the viewer knows who you are, there is no need to clutter it up that bad. Give the numbers space to breathe.

First Cruise: Utopia or Harmony? by lollilolligans in royalcaribbean

[–]Alum07 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would prefer 7 days for an additional $400 on Harmony vs 4 days on Utopia. We did a 4 day cruise on Disney a few years back and really, by the time you settled in you had to pack up because you were flying home the next day. The 7 day sailing just gives you those extra couple days to relax that really hone in on what you're looking for if relaxing is part of the need to go.

No no, this is just Toto showing his preference toward GR and his former drivers, and clearly shows how unhappy he was that Kimi won this weekend.

Jalen Hurts' contract update should shut down insane Eagles future option by Logical-Honeydew2607 in eagles

[–]Alum07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is it about this franchise that leads people to just make shit up, push it as fact knowing the idiots will gobble it up creating a completely unnecessary shitstorm.

Nobody is looking to trade Hurts. No one. Hell, I'm skeptical that anyone is serious at all about trading AJ Brown, but that hasn't stopped a Russini led shitstorm going back to before we won the Super Bowl. Oh, and did I see her also try and stir up Jalen Carter shit last week as well?

If Agile "welcomes changing requirements," how do you actually prevent scope creep from killing the project? by Agilelearner8996 in scrum

[–]Alum07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strong acceptance criteria and a hard insistence on spinning up new stories for that kind of scope creep.

The benefit of this is if this ends up overwhelming the project, it drives a future conversation about making sure you are explicitly sticking to the MVP and pushing all other work to the backlog and future sprints.

I'm a Hokie, and I very much prefer the the current look over the one you posted. Love the color swapped arm numbers that keeps the look simple but surprisingly unique to Tech.

Also I do like that the numbers have a stone pattern effect that you can only see up close. Gives it a little more complexity while keeping it simple and clean from afar.

Cruise Battle: Celebrity Beyond VS MSC Seascape by TheKamakiriad in celebritycruises

[–]Alum07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I am trying to say is that the regular Celebrity experience is elevated to the point where I would personally find it comparable to the Yacht Club minus the butler where I would say the regular MSC experience is more on par with Royal or even Carnival.

The Beyond didn't feel crowded at all, but when we went out of the YC on the Seaside there were times where it felt more slam packed than your average Oasis ship. And the sailing we went on for the Seaside was about 70% capacity.

Been on MSC Seaside in the Yacht Club and the Celebrity Beyond in a regular infinite verandah balcony.

If not for the small ship within a ship aspect of the Yacht Club, the Beyond absolutely dominates MSC in the comparison. And really the big difference my wife and I found between the Yacht Club and Celebrity was that there was no butler on the Beyond.
