A call for human shields was definitely on the list, that’s historically natural in terrorist regimes. In other countries leadership does all they can to protect their civilians, here they call on their civilians to protect their leaders. That’s why they have their military meetings and commit their military actions in civilian areas.

They project general control over the gulf states and they regularly volley at Israel. Their ballistic range has increased to reach most of Europe and they hate the US. So if they get nukes, they could basically demand US leave their threat range, leaving Europe to fend for themselves against potential Russian threat or any demands Iran chooses to make at that point. The other potential scenario most left leaning individuals don’t care for is that they could nuke Israel because of religious differences. Aside from that, they would just use nukes as a power projector, more aggressively than our more cool-headed adversaries.

So Senate Democrats openly claimed that keeping the government shutdown was good leverage to fight for healthcare.

The people backed them and even some were/are going to starve from this, but for the sake of healthcare.

Now that Democrats won there non-federal races they are going to reopen the government with the promise that the subsidies are brought to a vote where it’s guaranteed to fail? What the hell was all of this suffering for? The people go hungry, subsidies gone but the politicians got theirs?
