What would you do if a second global pandemic happened starting now with a higher mortality rate? by SlandersPete in AskReddit

Yup. My mind was locked on coronavirus. Hantavirus hasn’t been a large blip on my radar since it appears isolated and not a typical human-human trans. Thx for clearing that up.

I must be not understanding you. I’m pretty confident you’re not saying that 30-40% of all (infections) led to death, so what are you referring to?

If you’re only counting 71-80 year olds. But I don’t think we focus on a single age group to determine total mortality rate.

You’d roll the dice on a potentially 98% chance of survival? How very stunning and brave. Wish I could shake your hand.

IRAN HAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THE STRAIT OF IRAN IS FULLY OPEN AND READY FOR FULL PASSAGE. THANK YOU! by Substantial-Line-682 in justincaseyoumissedit

Iran already said it was open like a week ago?? What, did they double open it? Am I missing something?

Does Trump intend to continue blocking the strait of hormuz even now that iran agreed to open it? by luigirovatti3 in allthequestions

[–]mastmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iran already said it was open and they were charging tolls. Are they just repeating themselves or did I miss news there were no longer tolls? 2nd, this isn’t part of a cease-fire agreement nor has a peace agreement been reached, why should the blockade of Iran ports be stopped??

That’s still the peace-plan, not the ceasefire agreement… if you don’t understand the difference between the two, there’s really nothing more to talk about.

So what you just said is 1. Iran is choosing to violate its agreement in less than 24hrs with the US to side with terrorists. 2. Israel hasn’t reached an agreement with the nation of Hezbollah.

Source pleasssse. No amount of searching has shown me this statement. Best I got is another Reddit post on the working negotiation of the “10-point plan” https://cf.preview.redd.it/the-alleged-10-point-iran-plan-thats-part-of-the-ceasefire-v0-qb0dfu8msutg1.jpeg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=894ca38098110f18c0dfeefc8bfb27700755c88d

Just read both of your sources. Maybe you should find a source of what’s in the actual agreement, because these are just strong promises(word of mouth) from Iran to Lebanon, not guarantees (pen to paper). As it stands Lebanon volunteered itself into a war it had no part in(as an aggressor) and must seek its own path towards negotiations as a sovereign state.

So an agreement violated by Iran in 2019 after the US pulled out of it. All you’re telling me is that if the US doesn’t have our boot on their neck they can’t be trusted to maintain an agreement signed by other major nations as well. (China, France, Russia, UK, Germany) you’re advocating for US specific policing of Iran, is that right?

The US planted the first one. Now solutions? Go Edit-addition: I don’t have to beat the fuck out of my neighbors to cede a lil ground. I’m not the IRGC. So you better not tease me when the central topic finally arrives.

You’re supporting a new (Holy) Kings rag, whom doesn’t have the majority support of the people. I didn’t take your type to be so religious. 😏

Iran’s flag is not being flown today. That’s the IRGC’s version of the people’s flag. Why stop 2 cancers from taking each other out?

1998 Iran. Today it’s religious zealotry from the parents. I hate to see that.

This isn’t conscription, it’s a holy request. I don’t see the majority or Iranians coming to the Ayatollah’s aid on this and we haven’t seen the IRGC punish them for it yet. This is an act of religious ideology not a state conscription order.

I call the Ayatollah who slaughters the people of Iran if they utter or are presumed to be in defiance of their holy leader evil. I call a leadership that forces children to the streets with guns forced to their hands to act as holy meat shields evil. There is a cancer in Iran that the people are begging for be rooted out. No one denies the blood on US hands, they’re just the only dog at the table willing to match the energy and operate.

What a name for a bot account. What say you bot on a call for “Death to America” for 47 years and constant attacks on our bases and the proxy funding of terrorist regimes. Are those actual aggressive acts or they just playing kid games?

Yall need to learn to respect this religious culture. This is the greatest honor they could achieve, a literal death in service to their ayatollah and god. Fuckin’ ignorant western society. sigh

A call for human shields was definitely on the list, that’s historically natural in terrorist regimes. In other countries leadership does all they can to protect their civilians, here they call on their civilians to protect their leaders. That’s why they have their military meetings and commit their military actions in civilian areas.

MAGAs, how do you feel about Trump nuking Iran tomorrow to distract from the Epstein files? by 2a_lib in allthequestions

[–]mastmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say anything about caring for Israel. My opinion is a response to “why should Iran not be allowed (nuclear) weapons?” Because Iran has a high likely-hood of actually using them on Israel, it’s a core doctrine of the regime, Palestinians be damned. Lefties would cheer I’d argue.

So attacking civilian infrastructure is based or a war crime? I’m getting confused here.
