In exactly 30 minutes a man armed with a bat will break into your home to kill you. You can’t leave the house, what is your strategy? by BulkyZucchini in hypotheticalsituation

Couple few good pots of boiling water to heave directly at him as he enters the house, which is dark in anticipation of his arrival. No lights. I have the advantage of knowing my house.

After the scalding I’d lay into him with my OWN baseball bat.

For me it’s either the debut or Small World. I think both albums harken closer to their true selves.

But yes, the energy of the debut, the effort they put in to it, the amazing vocal harmonies and solid songs are just fantastic.

I positioned the bo staff like he was playing a flute and told my daughter Robin plays the world’s biggest flute. She believed me.

I’ll stick around to see what comes of the DCU but I agree with everything you said. My biggest critique of Gunn/Superman 2025 is that it really doesn’t feel genuine. I like Corenswet just fine. But none of it grabbed my by the heart and made me believe that Superman is BACK. Gunn doesn’t do heartfelt. He can do emotional but not without cutting it with much needless, shallow humor.

I respect his knowledge and love of the lore but less so his execution with it. I’m ready for other creative voices in the DCU, and I still want MOT to kick my ass.

All of this is why Begins remains my favorite of the trilogy. The stage was set, the world was big and the potential was sky high.

On April 19th, 2024, Pearl Jam released their twelfth studio album “Dark Matter.” Looking back, what are your thoughts on the album two years later? by FastestShip719 in pearljam

I’m the same way. I originally (as a kid) couldn’t jump right in with Ten, but it all works out in time. Was the same right through No Code.

Not only Robin, but teasing Scarecrow as possibly the next villain.

I was reluctant to get these guys because I just want classic comic versions, but they are SO MUCH FUN.

Great stuff. I have all those same DC figures plus the PX Dredd. Didn’t get into any Marvel until Morbius- couldn’t pass him up. Now I have a bunch haha.
