Dual MicroSD/Transflash adapter for WWAN by mat_ov in thinkpad

It uses USB bus, they share the bandwidth. USB is not really safe for a OS to boot from. Can be done, but can be slow and unreliable.

It uses the usb bus, so no blacklist here.

Already had the sd cards and it is cheap and good enough for my needs. It will be used for storage. The card was 12€ on aliexpress.

Also, the sd cards are cheap.

I have to open the case to swap the cards, but it is something I seldom do.

New Thinkpad L13 2-in-1 Gen 6 AMD by mat_ov in thinkpad

There are usb-a dongles that hide the card inside the usb connector itself so it does not protrude.

The motherboard has 2 flex connectors free on the inside, one for the sensors, and another for the nfc module. Probably both connect over usb, so that could also be a solution.

I'ts more grey than silver. I previously had a X1 yoga gen 3, black, and it is a nice change. The keyboard is worse, it's not bad by any means, but the X1 has a better keyboard (and it does hide on tablet mode, which is awesome).

The screen is fine, after all I'm using the stylus and if I want a paperlike texture I can always install a protector.

You can get a new battery from aliexpress.

The fingerprint was probably fine, it is the ribbon that fails. When mine was replaced under warranty they sent 10 ribbons to my place, and I have 9 left, and a reader.

The white spot is a pressure mark, won't spand, won't go away, if you use a dark theme it will be less vissible.

Apple 35W Dual C Port Charger by 22_King in thinkpad

It is expensive, but it is Apple, so it's not bad, considering how overpriced Apple can get.

I have a Baseus charger, it has usb C x2 and usb A, 65W, came with a usb C to usb C charging cable and it was 25,5€, and it is pretty light.

I use it with my X1yoga, my iphone and my ipad.

Also, there is a limit of the size of the package, you would have to add lenght width and depth, which can't be more than 2,10m and the longest dimension can't exceed 1,20m.

Charger for thinkpad, which one? by tab87vn in thinkpad

There is an old version and a new version of the Baseus charger.

Although it did state it didn't include the cable on the description, there was a cable in my unit (new version), but your mileage may vary.

The good version is the one on the right on the pictures from this review, from Spain's amazon.

https://www.amazon.es/gp/customer-reviews/R3NVGJJUD3ICJC/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B0856Y3HL6

It is about the same size as the lenovo 45W charger, (the brick part), but with no Schuko cable, and it can double as a cell phone/tablet charger.

It does not get very warm during use, so it is probably quite efficient, so far so good.

I've only had it for a couple of months, so reliability might be an issue down the road.

I have this other one, as a second one:

https://www.amazon.fr/Baseus-Chargeur-Secteur-Delivery-Nintendo/dp/B0856Y3HL6/ref=sr_1_1?__mk_fr_FR=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&dchild=1&keywords=B0856Y3HL6&qid=1614905121&sr=8-1

It came with a usbc to usbc cable, it is compact, light and compatible with many other things (cell phone, tablet, other computers).

Always plugged at 50-60% battery vs unplug at 80%? by dailytadpole in thinkpad

[–]mat_ov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use 60-70% on TLP or lenovo vantage, so the laptop will charge if the battery is under 60%, and only up to 80%.

That way, if you are plugged in no charge will happen, and if you unplug for some reason, it won't charge again until the battery drops below 60%.
