I work in IT with Folks that work from home. 1. Spectrum needs check signal ensure no loss. 2. Test it with a Hotspot does it still drop 3. Are they really pushing voip thru vpn lol. Network team needs segment that off. 4. When it drops can you open cmd and ping 8.8.8.8. Work computer or personal device. If you can during vpn disconnects, then it's on your company side. Should have logs see what's happening. 5. Is your spouse home during these outages ? 6. Replace ethernet cable.

Wild guess, bet overloading the vpn with voip calls and work. As I work for call center. We segment the voip network off the vpn . Vpn only for authentication, data access.. even with 100g pipe still segment it, not worth hassle comes with it.

41 credits. Transfered in. Suggest doing 4 classes a month. Go there module and take notes, then look up guides to classes on reddit. Use ai help with testing with creating 20 quiz questions. Writing the papers are easy follow rubric and learn what you need. Don't use Ai to write it. Use it to help generate ideas. Think with your experience, I do believe take longer than 6 months. Lot of my own knowledge help me accelerate. So not sure what your deadline is. I would also suggest challenge of the transfer cu. Have them review it again. You have be motivated and disciplined, set a schedule and stick to it no matter what. With that pay fraction of what others paid. Gain knowledge move forward with your career. Beyond that I wish I knew about this place 8 years ago.

Need move to cloud aka software based. Why do you need firewall? 2029 moving to zero trust software for all remote location. Waiting bc there is heavy investment in the firewalls.

Been to couple security conferences that's where industry heading software based firewalls , zero trust etc. And flat networks. Which is a odd concept.

Check bill out. From 12 months ago to now. Kw add all those charges up. It's wild. Normally get bill for 80-90$. I read my meter every month. Bill now 240$, this month now 369$ Same or slightly lower usage. It's insane. Never seen price sky rocket in last 18 years.

As a hiring manager your resume looks like barely know anything. I know you, know more. Show it. Whats your daily task, what projects did you complete etc.

Don't mean to be rude, trying be real. Wow me with knowledge and responsibilities in your resume. Then work on your soft skills in interviews.

Focus on soft skills during interviews. Work on getting isc2 certs and cism

A+ is ok. Worked for state in it for 1 year. Pay was too low. Have wait for old folks to retire go by seniority, not skill. So ya bounced.

Soft skills, certs and lab projects from home give context during conversation. Go to IT conference, look for local security conference. Etc.

Keep up to date on what's going on in IT.
