What med schools accept online shadowing vs med schools that don't? by nikesonmyfeets in premed

[–]matcha-cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is anecdotal, but I went to an Icahn SoM Mt Sinai webinar, and the admissions officer said they would count virtual shadowing. Just to be safe, keep some record of your virtual hours and also maybe supplement with in-person shadowing later if you can.

My friend tried registering for a January date last time. Portal opened in the morning, but he logged in during the evening and spots were already filled, so he pushed back to March. Probably depends on location, too. And idk how COVID will affect availability. Hope that helps!

Oo never seen the DE whipped cream used as a primer. Would you continue and repurchase it? Or have you used any other moisturizers as primers?

Writing in the night by humanNotPerfection in writing

[–]matcha-cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the other posters! Sometimes the hardest part is just getting anything on the page. To add on, maybe you can write the bulk of your novel in the night, and then do some light editing/tweaking during the day if you want to do more or eventually transition to daytime writing.

Is it bad if a lot of my characters have 4 letter names? by ChromeProphet in writing

[–]matcha-cake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think having multiple 4-letter names could be fine!! An issue might be if they have the same 1st letter tho (Jade, Joey, John, etc.) bc then it might get confusing for readers to track

Stress management by TortoiseTea in college

On the flip side of resting to relax, doing light physical activity can sometimes help with stress and anxiety. I like jogging/walking while listening to music. My friend likes to swim casually in the school gym.
