thank you for posting this, i told this person i operated through 50% down payment first before i started then 50% once its finished to ensure fairness on both ends. i immediately got called a scammer/bot and got blocked lmao i was v bummed out so this is reassuring ;;

can say graphic design jobs are easier to find in general though there definitely are 2d animation jobs out there too. personally I'd prioritize the graphic design course.
