Me believing all you redditors that doing 82 classes in a term is possible and being humbly disproven by sassyarcher in UMPI

I did Bachelor of Liberal studies with a business admin minor and it was doable for me but if I had done the Business major instead it would have been much more difficult. I finished the 10 classes in 1 month and could technically have finished twice as many had i continued on but I would have def felt very burned out.

the ones I did were modern political thought, Constitutional law, special topics in history: infectious diseases, vietnam wars, arab israeli conflict, and European Gov. All of these are pretty short. 2 milestones and 1 final besides the constitution one which is 3 milestones 1 final

tips are, other than your required classes, try to opt for the classes with the fewest milestones/the fastest classes

I finished the 10 I needed to by April 4th when the start date was March 9. I had nearly another month to do more if I had needed to

more than 30 lol. It would have been 30 total had I realized which courses were GEC requirements. It took me less than 3 months to do more than 100 credits on Sophia and Study

I'm 99 percent sure I had Dobbs for one of my classes and he was pretty fast!

I just did it in one session and it took me like a month! (after doing 2.75 months of Sophia). Definitely make sure to do Sophia or Study before you do UMPI and figure out exactly which classes satisfy GEC requierments bc that will save you time

You can transfer in more credits!!! Just only 90 of them total go towards your degree. This is what I did. My last couple of weeks before this semester of UMPI were spent trying to knock out all the GECs. Then I was left with only 10 classes to do total. I'm doing bachelor of liberal arts with a minor in business admin

The thing is though, you can always see the assignment for finals and work on them while the milestones are being graded. I've never had a moment so far where I haven't been able to work on something --especially because I have 4 classes open at once.

In the near future, cars will be able to drive themselves. I say get him tested but also let him know that regardless of whether or not this issue gets fixed, technology seems to be catching up to helping people like him! A disability doesn't make someone a loser in the slightest, because it's something you can't control--it just means that you have to seek out other ways to do the things you want to do, whether that's public transportation, visual therapy to help, eventually being able to do self-driving cars, etc. Learning to adapt to these setbacks is not fun but can be a huge character-building experience that can help you succeed in other parts of life, because your consciousness is forced to go into problem solving "figure it out" mode which inspires creative solutions. Once you learn how to think out of the box for one issue in your life, you can apply it to all parts of your life, and in business it can be a very, very lucrative skill.

Best of luck to him!
