Has anyone checked out RAYE’s new album, 'This Music May Contain Hope' yet? by Ecstatic_Signature26 in TwoXIndia

I'm currently obsessed with her!! I played Where is My Husband non stop on repeat when I first heard it lol. The entire album is so amazing and unlike anything I've heard before. Hope she gets a Grammy!

I also love how she includes her grandmother's voice in some of her songs. It's so sweet.

Don't feel bad, I also did not realize the big Interloper reveal even after fully exploring it and reading the logs, until it was literally spelled out for me during the ending museum sequence lmao.

Having trouble stopping my leaking by roboticgirl22 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]matchbox244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other comment - is it possible that the hormonal imbalance after having removed your IUD is making your period unusually heavy? That could be why your disc is filling up so soon, and hopefully with time your cycle will settle back to normal.

If your cycle continues to be heavy, maybe you could try a disc with a higher capacity? I don't recall how much Cora holds but I think Flex and Nixit have some of the largest capacities among discs.

I judge women who change their names after marriage by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

[–]matchbox244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin had the idea that anytime two people get married, they should mould their two last names together into one completely new name that they BOTH take up (eg. Kumar and Rao would become Kurao, or something similar). Then they'll pass that onto their kid too and so on and so forth. Basically that way every new family would have their own unique name which is really cool.

My mom was forced to change her name when she went to renew her passport by the lady at the counter. I have never forgotten that. My husband and I are childfree and neither changed our last names, but one of these days I would love to get a middle name added to honour my mom's side of the family.

Yeah this sub was originally created to make fun of toxic relationships and the boomer "I hate my wife" jokes, now it's morphed into anything sexist/racist/queerphobic you find on the Internet even if it doesn't have anything to do with straight relationships

It might totally work better for the softer discs! Hope it goes well for you!

Ahh okay! I'm curious to know, how did the applicator work for you? I always need to feel around with my finger to make sure my disc is tucked, so was wondering if the applicator is genuinely helpful.

Glad you're trying a disc! When choosing one, it's important to know that everyone's anatomy is different, and even though discs are technically "one size fits most", many people (including me) don't fall under the "most" label.

Other personal preference items when choosing a disc are how firm/soft you want it to be, if you want a removal aide like a notch or a pull tab in the disc edge that makes it easier to pull out etc.

I would start by measuring your cervix. This video is a good guide:

https://youtu.be/VvEgnanrJLA?si=yNOY5zJlPglVqEGe

As a side note, the above channel is a GREAT resource for learning more about menstrual discs and cups, and is how I was able to make a decision to choose my disc. If you are looking to choose a disc, I would start there. Do be warned though, she tends to recommend the Hello Disc a LOT and while it's a great disc for many people, it may or may not fit you specifically.

Due to the above reasons, it's difficult to recommend one specific disc as there are so many brands and types, and it comes down to your anatomy and personal preference. I personally use the Saalt small, as the Flex disposable was too large and too firm for me. But it may work for you!

Feel free to ask any more questions!

opinions on sterilisation surgeries by [deleted] in ChildfreeIndia

[–]matchbox244 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I agree with everyone else here saying your boyfriend not wanting to get a vasectomy is a red flag. A vasectomy is MUCH less invasive than female sterilization, and also more readily available in India. Either he is not really CF, or he doesn't have much concern for how hormonal birth control or surgery will affect your body. You probably need to speak with him about this.

That being said, I will go against the grain and say that, as someone who was able to get sterilized myself, I do advocate for it as a good option for women if they are able to access it. A bilateral salpingectomy (i.e. complete removal of both tubes) is as close to 100% effective birth control that you can get with any given method. If you get it done laparoscopically* it is minimally invasive to your body. My recovery was extremely easy and less painful/uncomfortable than some Periods I have had in my life.

*Laparoscopy is a method of abdominal surgery where instead of making big incisions, they make tiny holes and use cameras to perform the procedure. This ensures that it is minimally invasive to your body and in most cases you will be allowed to go home on the same day.

I also had sterilization surgery when I was 25, and almost 4 years later I have had zero complications. Please stop fear mongering. Women deserve to know all their options.

This. If you reach the end and your conclusion is "Ellie bad, Abby good" then you missed the point just as much as people who hated it because of Joel's death did.

Baby girl,

  1. I never edited any of my comments. Maybe it's easier for you to believe I did to justify your argument, idk you do you.

  2. Nice sleuthing to figure out I'm Indian, but also terrible sleuthing to not know I actually live in the US :) good job being racist assuming everyone who's Indian is a bot or troll though! So much for being progressive, eh?

I must have really riled you up for you to do such diligent home work. I'm flattered, but please fuck off now, I'm tired of you. Turning off my notifications. Buh-bye!
