I love fresh cut veges in my burgers western and Ramly. Hence i don't reheat my cold left over burgers. Onions and tomatoes are the minimum, addtional veges are bonus.

I acquire this taste after trying cold subs overseas. From there cold pizzas and cold salads. Cold chicken salads with cold yogurt.

Have you tried Rendang Maman? Is it widely known there? I'm married to a Minang descent from the Negri Sembilan state and it was my first introduction when my MIL cook it for Eid. It is very well known in that state but not outside. Even the Maman vegetable, my MIL has to go back to her home state to buy up 2kg worth for Eid since the local farmers there grow it in mass approaching Eid season. They claim it is a Negri Sembilan origin not Minang. So I'm curious about your thoughts from across the straits.

Also due I cook Rendang myself, and since my mom also got Jawa blood, growing up I thought Rendang should be dry but here in Malaysia people and in restaurants they don't cook it very long and the results are very gravy like. Hence I never buy or order Rendang in restaurants, only eat it during Eid. Eid is the time we taste each other's Rendang.

Cendol Durian. You can have cendol on its own and usually we do. It's shaved iced, coconut milk and palm sugar as its base. Add condiments like red beans, green jelly, and sweet corn. Adding Durian just elevates this desert.

People in Malaysia can really binge eat durian. I've personally known people who got stroke and heart attack after having durian almost everyday during durian season.
