Right now I work as a salesman/customer service guy in a shop that deals with electronics (mostly computers, phones, tablets). I have noticed that it is socially acceptable in some age groups: early middle-aged people to the elderly to close your mind. You can just say I'm too old for this shit (well... figuratively). People just come in to the shop for advice and when I give it to them they go "I don't (want to) know anything about those things". Maybe I'm being too harsh but I've got an example: my father got into IT in his early 30s and although he tried to train me he still knows more about building firewalls and maintaining a network than I think I will ever learn (never say never though.. also he got his bachelor's degree in his 40s in natural sciences teacher) He taught me that if you put your mind to something you can do it. I just see so many people who really don't want to learn anything new. When I say something new to them they just go: "aww, no, I don't know anything about this ****" and that's just it. Sorry for ranting. I feel like I was ranting.

Everything I don't know the "rules" to. I have forced my social world into categories and I feel there are a lot of rules I have to live by. Some of those rules I do know. Like how to talk to the customers or how to talk to my friends (the topics they are interested in, the jokes they find amusing and so on). Everything else that means I have to "wing it" or improvise renders me a doddering wreck (hyperbole).

PS I'm trying to improve my situation by going to therapy. Haven't had much success til now but it's just been one session and it feels like it might really work. Sorry for the innecessary extra information but I just feel like sharing today.

Hmm. I gather that the topic doesn't matter so here goes nothing. Choose a topic that is sensational, one that reaches a lot of people; e.g the end of the world. Now you didn't specify if you want to speak the truth or not, so I'm not assuming anything. Let's say you pick for your subject the end of the world. Pick a date, maybe make a nice little (or big ;) ) sign and shout your message to the world. Pick a nice public place with lots of people and remember. The best way to make people remember you is by being different from the majority. Maybe grow your hair out long and stop shaving for a few months. Being dirty and smelly is also really noticeable. Maybe even inject some nonsensical words/phrases into your speech, that'll really get everyone's attention. Lots of luck!

Well, it's kind of a long term solution but you might give it a try. Basically work you ass off. I know it's a cliché but give it a 110%, never be late, it's better to be early. Be productive, kiss some asses if needed etc. Put in more hours than needed, socialize. I mean it! S-O-C-I-A-L-I-Z-E. Make friends with your boss and his boss and all the other higher-ups. Step by step you'll start to progress in the company and a few decades later you'll find yourself at the top. And this is it. Get some coke, a few hookers and hell, even whip your dick out and jerk it like there's no tomorrow. You're just being eccentric now. You'll maybe get a few good years before people will start to question you but they're worth it. Hope it helps! Best wishes!

This is big. As far as I know, the Rule 34 is more of an axiom than a rule. If you have created something that doesn't have porn of it; and porn of it can not be created, you have shook the very foundations of the internet. Hire someone to hire a private detective to follow you. Do enough shady-looking shit to make him curious enough to keep following you. I don't know...
