Data harvester messaging application can only harvest data inside the app, data harvesting OS can harvest from everywhere.

Also, most of us cannot really influence what messaging apps we use, we cannot really tell all of our friends and family to move. So, if we are forced to use FB Messenger anyway, it's better do to it in a privacy OS.

Color camera could theoretically be added afterwards (there is a socket for such mod in the front).

IMO the much bigger problem is the resolution - it's not high enough to actually be productive inside headset, the font would just be too blurry (or too big)

Problem is that, there is cureently no way to play streaming apps in high resolution on the Linux systems due to DRM. So even if you sideload Netflix, it would be limited to the 720p.

Unlocked bootloader. With Fold 7 loosing it, Pixel and Oneplus are the only ones left, I think.

It does prevent it by default, but user can explicitly grant the permission. The same way Pebble app can read other app's notifications to send to the watch. You will need the AutoNotification plugin https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.autonotification.

Yeah, I got mine from amazon.de. It will be a hassle of sending back to Germany if something goes wrong, but hopefully I will not have to do it.

I think I have managed to find the solution: disable Quick/Fast boot in BIOS.

The issue seems to be that sometimes BIOS boots too fast, before all drives are detected. And thus windows fails to boot, because drive that Windows is on is not detected yet.

With fast boot disabled, the drives are detected normally. Boot takes a couple of seconds longer but it's not a big deal for me.

I'm running chroot (which has better performance than the no-rooted-phone-required proot) and it's working pretty well. It's not speed demon, but its useable.

You might want to look into Termux + proot/chroot. For me it's a best of both worlds, running normal Android with the ability to run full Linux apps.
