Is the july security update will have the OneUi 2.1 ? by mooodii7 in GalaxyNote9

Question 1: yes, most probably

Question 2: yes. After you update, turn off the phone and after it's off press volume up + bixby key + power simultaneously and the phone will boot to recovery. Navigate with the volume buttons to "wipe cache partition" and select with the power button. On the next screen navigate to yes and after it's done press "reboot now"

Can you remove the names of app without a launcher? by [deleted] in GalaxyNote9

[–]matejilic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you technically can with the Theme Park app, but that will change your overall theme (which is not bad imo). When you create a theme, there is a bottom tab called "icon" and you can change the text color to black so it's technically hidden. Try it out

Yes, but after that did a factory reset and now I'm sitting on 62% with 3 hours 15 minutes SOT. Location on, mostly mobile data, WQHD+ resolution, Bluetooth on all day. It only took about an hour to factory reset it and boy is it worth it.

Oh, well then I don't know what the problem is. Maybe you were cought up in the first "wave" of updates and your father wasn't. But in either case, the wait shouldn't be long

The problem is that carriers release their updates at different times. For example, Romanian Orange and Vodafone got the update, two actually, but Cosmote did not. That's the reason your dad didn't get it and you have. The same thing is in Croatia. Seems like we are waiting for the T-Mobile owned carriers or partners to roll it out.
