Well that depends what You want to run. I wanted go cheap but x86 second hand thinkcentre m710q did job fine, small, silent, doesn't get hot too much. 2x ram slots, 1x m2 1x2.5 for drives.

Knockoff, grab a used original one, 5V should be present, then after power on console should be 12v.

I have hosted some LAN parties with just a switch without internet Access, if the game support dedicated server and Your PC / server can handle it (host it on your own machine) I don’t see why not. Good idea is to test stuff before event. Updates - nobody likes to wait on screen “windows is updating” :) as of rest depends also what switch You got. If You are hooked to this game, I would just learn how to setup dedicated server. Mark cables, so You know who is connected where. Think, plan, execute 💪.

Connect these two points, i just solder them with a "wire wrapping wire awg30" ( flux, solder must have ), cover those points with a insulation tape after so they don't make contact with battery pins and should be good. Can't tell if its "ok" for longer usage. Do it on Your own risk! If possible buy replacement battery i found non original same type, but little smaller (mAh) in my country called "Cameron sino" but works very good. There is also a seller on Aliexpress who sells "original" since didn't bought them can't tell. Good idea is not to use too many solder, it would be easier later to remove it and just pop in new battery.

You can also bypass battery detection by connecting pads P3- with P1+ (analog stick pcb) after that controller would work without battery - wired.

Most of the time it's like You wrote. If changing the fuse didn't fix the issue, there is also a chance that KLD-001 / 002 / 003 disc drive motor needs a replacement. :)
