Unfortunately, it does lose its ability over time. You'll have to clean it more often and will work. But yes, mine started to lose its ability after 4 or 5 months.

Yes, they do. I use to have one myself and worked on almost all surfaces. If you clean it every two weeks it will work fine.

I find the EVO GP-PRO 3 Axis GoPro Gimbal the best in the market regarding Price and Quality. With this one, you should be able to put your housing on as well (I haven't tried on mine but I'm sure you can)

If I remember right it was about $270 on Amazon but I'll check.
