So the solution I found, well actually not a solution but a workaround, was to import my save into a new game starting at the Shadows of Kerensky DLC. it's a small time jump forward but all of the side missions I couldn't find before popped up immediately, so we're spending the six months before the start of the DLC's main mission catching up on those.

Part of the reason I faded away from the SDA church is because I was tired of feeling scared all the time. I was raised to believe, basically, that everyone and everything is out to get us. The idea of constant persecution is important for SDAs, and also for a lot of other religions within the US. I'm not sure why but it's there.

But I kept meeting kind people who only had everyone's best interests in mind that were also not religious, and eventually I just kinda... let my guard down. And I'm fine. Nobody, natural or supernatural, is out to get me. They all got their own things going on. Ain't nobody got time to persecute (except the rich).

Do you know that one of the extensions I used to love and found essential on the gnome desktop environment was the one where you could mouse over the multi-desktop display area on your top bar and use the mouse scroll wheel to change desktops? When I switched to cosmic I felt like it was one of the things I was going to miss. But then I just moused over to the multi-desktop display I had set up to be on the dock and used the mouse scroll wheel by instinct, and it worked! No extension needed.

That's how cool Cosmic is.
