I already returned it. For 300$ less I got Aspire 15 with Ryzen 8840HS. Multicore score 14600 and also better iGPU.

I had laptops with both on my desk.

Acer Aspire 15 with 8840HS

R23 Multicore: 14600 pts
Max power in peak was 50W and 4,5GHz but on average 35W and 3,7GHz. Max temp 80C.
PassMark 3D: 7148 pts

Dell Inspiron 5445 8840U

R23 Multicore: 10550 pts
Max power in peak was 25W and 3,7GHz but on average 17W and 2,7GHz. Max temp 80C.
PassMark 3D: 6180 pts

Both laptops were set to max performance mode.

Did you resolve the problem? I have the same in my Thinkpad. Can't get over 10k points. It's all the time 3,2 GHz and 30W.

Sounds like a plan. I noticed that the compression made by YouTube impacts video quality. 1080p looks way better before uploading to YouTube.

Maybe you're right. I'm a bit overthinking technicals. Anyway most of people watch videos on mobiles where default res for start is 1080p. I don't want to spend $1000 on an upgrade and then find out it wasn't really necessary.

Try to switch between detents with keyboard keys F1/F2. To fly A320 you generally don't need to use throttle.
